Instead of the normal Lineup Lambs that we do for FPL and have sorta been doing for World Cup I’m just going to go ahead and paste our Slack chat transcript from tonight as we made the final touches to our Wildcard Round of 16 lineup. Important to note we still have our other WC available and will probably use it after this round so we didn’t think ahead really at all.

A lot of the team was made pre-pod and during the pod (if you missed it we podded on Thursday night and you can tit it HERE) but the rest was finalized with a Cheryshev on top in Slack.

Decided to hold fire on our assortment of good yet shit mids and get a Mexican boy in defense. They have two really good fixtures against Sweden and South Korea meanwhile Argentina defense did not inspire much confidence. Tagliafico was pretty good in the first game but can't get a clean sheet all by yourself so he's fucked off. Thanks for the memories.

GK:

Muslera the only good thing in our lives goes again against the federation of Saudi humans. Feels good.

Backup small human Fran Uzoho waits in the wings in case disaster strikes and Uruguay don't clean. Nigeria looked bad but also showed some signs against Croatia. Manager seems to be their main problem...but can probably say that about ten or so sides in this tournament. Meh.

DEF:

New Mexican friend Moreno is a great guy to have. Mexico were so sexy against Germany and with the difficult game out of the way it seems optimal to buy into their defense now. It's also fun to have a Mexican player since they are sweet.

Varela and our Uruguay double remains in tact and feels fantastic. Really the only thing we did well in our lives from GW1 was double Uruguay defense. Great but also not great.

Kimmich looked great and should keep looking great. Kill for an assist. Won't be pressured as much as they were against Mexico again in group so hopefully he can just chill in the final third all game and continue to play OOP.

Pique runs out after being a diabolical mess against Portugal. Shake it off Gerry we need you son. High hopes for two cleans for Spain go do it. Same to be said for Marcelo. He didn't do a ton in attack against the Swiss but Brazil still dominated the fuck out of the game and should continue to do more of the same. Hopefully they don't have some stupid defensive lapse on set pieces moving forward and they just walk their way to cleans and two wins. Still very high on Brazil despite the shit ass result.

MID:

Our only good friend wee Phillipe is the only good thing we are allowed to have. Hopefully he keeps titting and totting.

Meza looked deece against Iceland but have seen some rumblings about a massive personnel and formation change for them after looking generally shit so a little nervous. In the end at 5.5 what are we looking at. He's a stick. 

Cueva poor boy just another crying guy in the team reflecting our emotions so far. Hopefully he's off pens so we won't suffer more negative points. Negative points I just checked are actually bad. Still was pure class against Denmark and was the danger man. We still like him and are happy to have him in.

Inui was absolutely brilliant today against Colombia and, like Cueva, was the danger man for Japan. At 4.5 he's just a genius pick...but I don't believe we get points for looking bright so go get some fucking goals you lad.

Finally, theme of the day, danger man who doesn't get us points Ziyach joins his friends. The "easy" game is done for Morocco so feels bad man but Ziyach looked really good so whatever. Hopefully they get a couple counters and do some shit against Portugal. One time. One fucking time.

Luisito put in a shocker shift in GW1 and was whining like a little crybaby bitch which felt sad to watch. Hopefully he doesn't do that again? Meh. 

Hazard looked pretty good and has another easy game so expecting him to keep just ticking. Just like FPL. Set and forget.
