Palestinian life is real. And it matters.
Please stop and read this for a moment.
Palestinians asking for help on the internet are breathing, living human beings with meaningful lives. Full stop. It is our responsibility to listen to, to care for, to love these Palestinian people while they are alive.
Stop believing Palestinian stories when only when they’ve been killed. Stop caring for Palestinians only when they are lifeless.
Rouzan al-Najjar was a real, living woman. She was a daughter, a cousin, a sister. She was a medic who saved the lives of countless others. Her life mattered. All 20 years of her life, she was a human being who mattered. Her life was ended by an israeli sniper in 2018.
Amr al-Najjar was a real, living man. He was a son, a cousin, a brother. He celebrated holidays with his family and rode a motorbike. His life mattered. All 20 years of his life, he was a human being who mattered. His life was ended during the second “ceasefire” by israeli bombing. He said, the day before his death, “I will be martyred in the first artillary strike. Wait for me.”
Jamal al-Najjar was a real, living child. He was a son, a cousin. A baby. He loved playing and eating candy. His life mattered. All 5 years of his life, he was a human being who mattered. His life was ended by the deliberate starvation of Palestinians by israel. Days before he died, he told his family goodbye and that he knows he will soon pass away.
My friend, Ibrahim al-Najjar @ebrahimtarek2002 matters. He is a real, living, breathing young man who means the world to me, his friends, and family. You have the opportunity to care while he is alive. You have the opportunity to save him.
Please share and donate to his fundraiser. I am begging you. Cherish Palestinian life. Save my best friend Ibrahim al-Najjar. This is a vetted fundraiser (#446) and I am happy to share proof of transfer as we manage Ibrahim’s campaign.
As-salamu alaykum, shalom aleichem, may peace be upon you.
