[text] How did we go from talking every single day to … this?
Text: Sam… Look I don’t know. College is weird. There’s just so much going on all the time and I’m overwhelmed. Idk. Idk if I can do this anymore…

[text] How did we go from talking every single day to … this?
Text: Sam… Look I don’t know. College is weird. There’s just so much going on all the time and I’m overwhelmed. Idk. Idk if I can do this anymore…
[Text] We need to talk. Call me.
Text: Why didn’t you just call me in the first place? I’m like, about to go to bed. Gracie has been crying for hours. Can we just talk in the morning?
“And… and I love you! It’s what I’ve been trying to tell you all along.”
It was pouring rain and the Panthers had just won what would forever be known as the mud bowl in a makeshift football field that the team had been working endlessly to create. The crowd was wild as they ran down the bleachers and onto the field to congratulate their boys. Quinn was looking for Sam. They had been weird for a couple of days but she didn’t care. She was so proud of him right now and she just wanted to tell him. When they found each other, Sam confessed that he loved Quinn and had been searching for a way to tell her that this week without scaring her off. “I love you!” She shouted, wanting to make sure she was heard over the crowd. Without warning, Quinn jumped on Sam. He wasn’t prepared to catch her so they both fell into the mud. Laughing, Quinn just kissed him, as if they were the only two people left in the world and on that field. Quinn loved Sam. It seemed so simple now that they had found away to say it to one another.
“I think you and I are destined to do this forever.”
Was this really happening? Was Quinn in Chicago? And was Sam proposing to her? What even provoked Quinn to travel this far to find comfort? “I-I think we are too.” She told Sam as she fell to her knees so they could be face to face. He didn’t have a ring so this clearly wasn’t planned but that was so symbolic of Quinn and Sam’s relationship. It was unplanned, unpredictable, and irreplaceable. Quinn had tried to move on after Sam left and never called, but she couldn’t stop thinking about him no matter how hard she tried. “I don’t care about all the messy complicated crap we went through. Let’s just start again from here. A new beginning. Kind of. I don’t want to forget about it all because it’s made us who we are together and I don’t want that to change, but it isn’t important. We don’t have to have a big talk and figure things out. I just want you Sam.” Just then, Sam leaned in and kissed Quinn. When she finally pulled away to breathe, she murmured, “You’re right. Enough talking.” With a sweet smile, Quinn leaned in for another kiss from her fiancé.
“I’m attracted to shiny things, so if it looks like I’m staring at your chest, it’s because I am.”
Quinn just rolled her eyes and smacked Sam’s arm. “I know. Santana did my makeup and she used this glitter crap in my cleavage. This whole outfit/makeup is not me at all. I’m so uncomfortable.” Pouting, Quinn leaned into Sam a bit and stretched her neck up to plant a kiss on his cheek. “This party better be worth all this glitter because it’s going to take like 10 showers to get it all off.” She told her boyfriend while they trailed behind their friends walking into Santana’s house for the party. “Sam, stop staring.” She scolded him before they walked into the house. Thankfully, everything really was bigger in Texas and she wasn’t the most overdone for this party.
"I don't know what the hell is left to do."
It had been a rough few weeks for Quinn and Sam. New feelings had been discovered for new people, but Quinn was still trying to hold on to that feeling the first time her and Sam had kissed. Unfortunately, Quinn was feeling second to football from not only her father but also her boyfriend and she was sick of it. At least the lifeguard paid attention to her. “Maybe there isn’t anything we can do.” She told Sam while taking a seat on the bleachers. Quinn loved the football field the most at sunset. “I’m always going to love you but, I don’t know Sam, things are weird right now. I’m not sure how to fix that. You have football and that’s what’s going to get you to college. Maybe you should focus on that right now.” The suggestion was half-hearted but it’s all Quinn could come up with in the moment. Taking off Sam’s letterman jacket, she folded it and handed it to him. She leaned over and kissed him on his forehead but she couldn’t bring herself to actually say the word “Goodbye” as she slowly walked away, leaving Sam to wallow in the setting sun.
[text] You should have told me you wanted me out of your life.
Text: I don’t want you out of my life Sam. I still love you. I just… Idk. I don’t know what I want right now and I’m confused and I hate myself for that.
[text] You want nothing to do with me, I get it.
Text: Stop. Just stop. Text: I want everything to do with you, don’t you get it? I’m crazy about you! I’m just scared. And my dad… I just don’t know what my dad will do when he finds out Sam.
