Watching FNS Music Festival 2011...

The production team must have gotten a bashing, it's not just Arashi's sound system, the sound was iffy at other parts too. The background music overpowers the vocalists overwhelmingly, so they sound like they're squeaking unless they sing a lot louder.

I personally found the camera team a bit odd at some performances, they panned around and zoomed into the older performer's hair so much that you can see a few white strands. The camera also just stayed at the top for the AKBXSKB performance, you can barely distinguish each girl with the dancing.

Props for the amazing piano and violin performances though, don't know the performer :S

Nishino Kana was amazing as always, the sound was super clear, although the high notes were a bit weak. Her, Mai Kuraki, and BoA were amazing *__*

Arashi's Imoto performance as well :3 so precious

I don't get how their earpieces be misplaced in such a short timeframe though -__- wanted to see them perform their best, they do so few performances already D: oh well, hope they get more chances to perform Meikyuu Love Song ^^

Honestly when I first saw it yesterday morning before my first final, I was in shock until Oh-chan's solo part, where I realized his mic was screwed with and then got really pissed. Not good before a final lol but I did notice that none of them seemed annoyed by this negative turn of events. I expected Matsujun to be really ticked, but his okay sign during the performance...I love Arashi T_T so inspiring. To be able to perform like pros throughout that performance is pretty amazing. I'm sure they knew that Fuji TV would be burned down affected if they showed any annoyance, and it would be hard to perform there again.

Re-watching it made me realize it really wasn't so bad. It was just that Oh-chan's mic was too soft compared to all the others', so the sound was not the usual. Just proves that Arashi needs all 5 of them :D Plus, it seems like most of the other singers all had background music (I swear the kpop groups used this the most lol it's probably hard to sing in Japanese for them) not just the orchestra...they didn't seem to turn it on for Arashi :( they need the background music, it'll have a bit of their voices at bits like in karaoke but it really helps the entire sound quality - keeping a stable voice while performing a dance routine is pretty damn hard.

Also Sexy Zone is getting cuter, their group name was kind of unappealing to me at first. Where's Kis-My-Ft2 though? lol just read on wiki that they're doing national Dome tours and international concerts next year...nothing against that but seriously Johnny-san, international concert tour for Arashi who are going into their 13th year, please??

How does Johnny even come up with these names x__X sure Sexy Zone and Kis-My-Ft2 are eye-catching, but for all the wrong reasons...at first I couldn't believe anyone would name a group kiss-my-feet-2 @__@ found out it was an acronym later.

terrible performance is terrible

which is applicable to their MEIKYUU LOVE SONG perf at tonight's FNS. I was at work when I saw the ruckus. I cannot wait to get home. I've expected the worse. After seeing it... Out of tune, out of sync.. LOL. It wasn't that bad at the beginning but I felt like they just want to get the hell out of the stage as soon as possible towards the end. Well, at least they still look fine. Very fine. Back to the singing disaster that is tonight's Meikyuu Love Song, it was bad BUT I've seen/heard worse (and I have a JE group in mind that I'd rather not disclose) and we all know that they aren't that great of a SINGER to begin with. Even for Ohno whom I claim to have the best voice out of the five sounded very shaky. I've read comments that blames FujiTV with burning passion, I think they have to sit and take a chill pill. They don't want that to happen, I can only imagine how the post prod meeting might look like. Accidentally messing up the performance of one of Japan's current top rating idol groups, one of the worst thing EVER. But then, it's a live event anything can go wrong it just so happened that the "worse" has happened to Arashi. There's nothing we can do about it. News and tabloids might have a field day about it and I'm curious on how is this going to affect them. ..and the song "Imouto" was redeeming for them. There is always a new day waiting for us. I'm still a BIG ARASHI FAN. Haters' gonna hate. Such thing won't lessen my love for them. I STILL LOVE MY BOYS. <3

what it only proves

I haven't read any news or specific comments yet about Arashi's FNS performance. But I have just watched it. Yes, it came to a point when they sounded really bad. but. Those five boys sang and performed like the true professionals that they were.

I might have cringed; I might have let out a little laugh but what that performance did (glitch or whatnot) was to just multiply my love, appreciation and respect for Arashi a thousandfold. Mind you, even Jun didn't show any sign of annoyance. Loveloveforyou, boys.
