Q: Where is Rose at the moment in the story? ~ @sldh8mm3r

A: So this is probably the best time to go into what Rose has been doing throughout the story since we last saw her.

The last time we saw her in the comic, Rose was in hospital around the time Delany got recruited by the Automatons, where she spent several weeks in surgery and rehab recovering from her 'upgrade'. (Curtsy of Super Earth and 'Cerberus', to get back at Delany).

Rose didn't really have much contact with Diego or the other cast during this time, as Delany was her only link to that group of friends, and after her surgery she'd began to isolate herself and get back into her work. She was the best of the best, and been dragged back down thanks to the antics for her now-ex. An ex she had mixed feelings of about being death. Sure she hated her, but hearing she'd been killed in action after their last yelling mach hit her harder than she'd realised.

This guilt and remorse immediately whiplashed at Delany's triumphant return, and reignited her hate for the women. Of course she got out of it scot free (minus an arm) and was now some great hero, who had the authority to pull strings to make Rose her eagle pilot. This began the stint of 'accidents' out in the field and the peak of Roses anger towards Delany, at this point, she wanted her dead.

As the story moves on and Delany gets more involved with project Hybrid, Rose is re-assigned to tackle the squids on the front, and eventually pulled in to defend Super Earth. A bloody conflict in the sky just as much as the ground, and one that took a lot out of her. Post Super Earth Invasion, Rose was awarded the rank of 'Ace', one given to the only pilots that survived the best eagle pilots in the fleet, and plenty of trauma along side it.

So far she's not been recalled to Delany's ship, and has just been taking much needed time off now she has the rank to request it. Unfortuatly, all this has done is let her sit with her own thoughts for a while, and wallow in the past, just in time for her problematic Ex to give her an out-of-the-blue phone call.

Does she still hate Delany? Maybe, but there's history there, a longing she misses, even if it is toxic, and after the invasion a lot of her life has been put into perspective. She's tired, and a farmiliar voice is a comforting one. Will she take the call and meet up with her though? That's for us to find out in the comic~
