Salutations! I’d like to request a short story from you. I’ve read a few of your other pieces and really enjoyed them, so I’d love to see what you can do with Nathenti
To give a quick rundown:
-Nathan is able to change between human and a monster form he refers to as “shadow”, even though it’s still his fully conscious mind in either form. Normally, he can switch between the two forms of his, exceptions being when his emotions run high, in which case he acts very much like a wild animal (Preferring to run, and only lashing out when cornered). In terms of his actual design of his monster form, I don’t have anything too specific outside of it being a tall and thin humanoid, having large, clawed hands, and a long tail, so please do play loose with this design if need be :)
-Venti is Nathan’s husband, who knows Venti’s true identity as Barbatos. Venti also knows about Nathan’s monster form as well. The pair care very deeply about one another, and tend to spend as much time together as they can when neither are working.
In terms of the actual story (I’m so sorry if this ask is getting really long I’m just really excited about having a fic written about these two):
I’m a sucker for the “Monster transforms and X is the only person who can calm them down” trope, it gets me every time. The scene I have in mind is specifically after Nathan retreated into a forested cave due to a bad panic attack that caused a full transformation, and Venti following along to help Nathan calm down.
Thank you for your time! (And in advance! Btw, do you take commissions for longer fics?)

You're just as wonderful
I had ran into the forest, not sure where I was going, but sure that I needed to leave. I never thought about Venti. That was until I stopped and there he was. He stared up at me, not with fear but with love. "My dearest, you must calm down. I know they were mean, but you are safe. We could go home and cuddle by the fire."
I paced in a circle like a cornered animal. I didn't know how to calm down, which I'm sure he sensed.
"Breathe, dearest, breathe. Lets count together. One two three four, holding, one two three four five six seven, and out, one two three four five six seven eight, good now repeat." He repeated this until I followed him and then a few more times. I sat down, curling my tail around myself protectively. He sat next to me and patted my clawed hands. I nearly ripped them away in fear of hurting him, but then he began to sing. It was an old lullaby that he often sang to me. He leaned against my monstrous form turning his singing into gentle humming.
"Do you feel better? Maybe not healed but better," he asked. Always checking in, always trying to help.
I made a small noise, not quite ready to talk. He nodded, understanding. He was always understanding me, even like this.
He picked up my hand and traced my claws, mindlessly humming. I'm sure he was giving me space to calm down instead of forcing me to, but this alone was soothing.
He suddenly perked up, "Hey do you want to hear a story?" I nodded and he continued, "Way back in time, in the original Mondstadt, there was a guard. He wasn't a very good guard, but a wily wind spirit, that's me, used this guard and his negligence to ferment some apples. The guard ate the apple some time later and he was shocked to see how good it was! He pressed all the juice out of the apples and there created wine. He shared it woth the people and they praised it, calling it a gift from the Anemo Archon."
I sighed, slowly regaining my human form. "That's a wonderful story," I said softly, leaning on Venti.
"You're just as wonderful," Venti said getting to his feet. He held out his hand and help me to my feet.
Okay, I live for gentle reminders and sweetness as much as the next soul with good taste! But I have to propose what about the more casual or comedic reminders from your f/o(s). Perhaps they aren't the best with lovestruck words and soft voices. Maybe it's not the time or place considering your dynamic. Though I'm not saying that they wouldn't if that's what works for you, they absolutely would!
What I'm talking about is them 'chasing you' to take your meds when you vocally realize you've missed 3 days. But they're not mad or exasperated, they just want you to feel your best! So you're giggling the whole time they're running after you, and melt when they finally hug you and help you take it. Or maybe they're already prepared so they just nonchalantly pull out a pill bottle and a bottle/can of your favorite drink so you can take it. But they still smile fondly at you and give you pats if you like them, just happy to know you took them now.
Or what if you have (a) rougher, tougher f/o(s) who don't take no shit especially when it comes to your well-being? So as long as they know you're fine with it, they 'threaten' you. Like "If you do not drink some water now, I'm gonna squish the ever-loving hell out of you!" But of course, if you need some flavor drops or something they'll happily get it. Then as you're sipping on it, they'll still happily squish you if you wanted!
Again this might just be a me-thing considering how casual and loving a lot of my IRL relationships are but we still joke about stuff. And again, your f/o(s) will do their best to support you in whatever way works the best for you! But I just notice that all the posts regarding this are always super soft and sweet and I know if I were to mention that I haven't taken my meds, a lot of my f/os would be 'on my case.' So just wanted to give a shout-out in case anyone else felt that way!
Hi! I'd like to request a story! With my fo Alex from Pizza Time Pizza and my self-insert Raven! (Hope this isn't too overwhelming and enough information! Take your time, no pressure, thanks in advance!!)
Alex is a cult leader operating behind bars with the theme being pizza. (operating the cult behind the guise of a pizza restaurant which is named Pizza Time Pizza) He's able to spread his message at first within the prison but soon with access to camera and laptop spread to the whole world.
My self-inserted Raven, at first was a loyal follower and soon turned to his assistant/disciple. Overtime having a crush on him, willing to do whatever it takes to be his. Alex and Raven often talk to each other through visits or the internet to plan ways to spread the message. She is very protective/defensive for Pizza Time Pizza and Alex doesn't really like it when followers begin to doubt. She's more passive with how she deals with followers. Alex is the same way with Raven, if he hears that followers start to disrespect her he would also get defensive. Alex is more willing to do something about it to make sure the followers stay in line.
For anything specific, I'd love for there to be a scene where Alex gets protective over Raven. Maybe a male follower gets very friendly/close to her and it sets him off. After he intervenes and gets Raven somewhere private, he reveals how much he cares for her. He loves her so much that he doesn't want anybody else to be as close as they were.
I took my time coming up with ideas and then even read through the wiki to see if I could get a better read on the subject. I hope this is good 😊
I'm Asking, Do You Feel The Same
I was really only doing my job, getting all the followers together for a meeting. That's when someone, I swear I knew him from somewhere, got a little too handsy with me. I walked away, tending to other business, but he followed me. He was cooing at me. Something about how I'd be his perfect side piece. I rolled my eyes and told him that he wouldn't like it when Alex got here. That's how we ended up here, Alex holding tight to my waist telling this guy to 'back. the fuck. off.' Not that I wasn't thankful, just a little flustered is all.
"Really, it's no big deal. He's not any trouble. I promise," I squeaked. I wasn't aware I was that flustered.
Alex was staring daggers into the guy who was now retreating off somewhere like a kicked puppy. "It's a big deal to me. I won't let that behaviour fly around here, especially not with my assistant. How about we take a walk?" He look towards me, his face falling into something softer. I just nodded not sure how to respond.
He lead me down a hall into a more secluded room, somewhere it'd be just the two of us. I looked away from him, letting him lead me to a seat. "So, why all this privacy?" I questioned gently.
I heard him take a seat across from me and looked up. He was sitting with his elbows on his knees, like he was guarding himself from something. "Well, you know. You're my assistant and all." I nodded, allowing him to go on. "I don't want to be weird or anything but I've come to care about you. Like, a lot. I might even say love. I would never do something you were uncomfortable with. So I'm asking, do you feel the same?"
I was sure my face was red now. I stammered out a response that was halfway between a bunch of sounds and complete nonsense. He smiled at me, just this warm and honest smile. I melted right there. "I have felt like that for a while actually," I managed after a moment. He stood up, bridging the protective gap he had created in case his plan went wrong. I held my hand out to him and he pulled me into him and kissed me. It was like no other kiss I've ever had before, passionate yet gentle and soft. We stood there for a moment holding each other, foreheads pushed together, swaying slightly to music only we could hear. Then he looked at his watch and frowned, "I've gotta get back out there."
I kissed his cheek and patted his chest, "It's alright. Blow me away."
Title: A Delivered Surprise
Word Count: 1,645
Warnings: None, just fluff... and mentions of working retail
Ship: Paradise Found (Jack x Myself)
Summary: It's a rather common occurrence for me to go to work without food. Yet one day, I can't hold out 'til the end of my shift and order a drink. The only problem is that my delivery friend is more than happy to sell my shenanigans out to my boyfriend...

Beneath the ever-buzzing fluorescent lights and within the concrete cubicle of her workstation, Rebecca was not known as the princess of Rosenfield. Instead, she was just one of the few cashiers taking the morning shift and trying to save her customers money. If one did recognize the princess but didn't know her well, they might think that this position was a punishment for being such a reckless royal. Yet, that was the furthest from the truth. Rebecca had taken this job of her merit. She enjoyed talking to her people as equals instead of from a pedestal and did her best to brighten people's days with her actions rather than her rank. She did also enjoy the steady paycheck she earned to save and buy little treats for herself.
One such treat was a delivery to her place of work while she was working. It wasn't anything extravagant, just a sweet vanilla smoothie to help her make it through the end of her shift. She could normally do so with just her water, but considering how hectic the weekend shifts were, that water evaporated within an hour of her four-hour shift. It also didn't help that the sunset-stranded lady had slept through her alarm and rushed by the castle's kitchen without even grabbing a single slice of toast. So in the end, all she was running off of was some water, five cherry tomatoes that she popped in her mouth from the breakroom snack table, and spite.
Glancing at her galaxy-covered phone screen during a lull in clientele, Rebecca's lips quirked upwards when she saw who the gallant hero was that was to be delivering her emergency life-blood. Out of all the drivers within the capital city, a newfound friend was the one to be saving the young princess's day. All she had to do now was wait.
After ten minutes of checking out clothes for both those going back to school and those going away for vacation, the store doors slid open. This allowed a tall, broad-chested man in a tight tank top who had his obsidian hair tied tightly to the top of his head to step through. His mahogany gaze searched for his target, lightly skimming the racks of athleisure and through the slight crowds of suburban-styled shoppers. Yet before he could search further, the light plopping of footsteps across the padded mat attracted the man's sights downwards.
"Hi, Ash," Rebecca beamed as she gave a small wave, "A drink for Rebecca Grace, right?"
Ash took a subtle step back in his surprise, taking a glimpse at the name on the label. He then looked back to the petite woman before him, trying to figure out why she appeared so familiar as he handed over the item in question. He hadn't made any deliveries to her in the short time he had taken on this side-gig to explore the place he now deemed home. Her clothes were unassuming considering they were a blank, black t-shirt and some comfortable-looking sweatpants in the same shade. The only thing that stood out was the dyed hair that the lady listed as her main identifier in the delivery instructions. The confusion on Ash's face must've been evident in how the girl giggled as she began sipping her drink.
"Do I look so unassuming that you can't recognize me? To be fair, it is rare that you, Jed, Neon, and Sophia see me outside of my usual formal wear!"
That's when Ash finally recognized just who stood before him. But that didn't stop the shock that ran through his system as he addressed her. "Princess, what're you doing here?"
"I work here part-time! It gives me a sense of normalcy with my people, so don't worry about not recognizing me. But I do have to thank you 'cause this is the only real food I've had today!"
Ash raised a brow as an expression of concern etched itself into the strong man's face. "You mean you haven't had anything other than a smoothie?"
Rebecca took another sip, smiling brightly as the little balls filled with mango juice exploded with the vanilla flavor in her mouth. She then nodded to answer Ash's question. "Nope, other than this, a bottle of water, and five baby tomatoes, I'm empty. But don't worry I'm totally fine!"
"Y'know Jack would lose it if he found out..." Ash remarked in a bemused tone, his sights lingering on the door behind him where the blond in question stood in utter boredom.
Now it was time for Rebecca's chocolatey sights to widen with surprise. She attempted to hide it by keeping her head hung low with her sights fixated on her already quarter-drunk drink.
"I-I doubt he'd care that much! But even if he did, that's the exact reason why you won't tell him. He'd have my head, and I quite like my head!"
Ash could only chuckle as he watched Rebecca's fair face begin to match the red of her hair in real-time. It had been a bit since the princess and his dear traveling companion had become more public with their romance, revealing how deeply they cared for one another. So to be a witness to both parties still getting so flustered in private was honestly the most astonishing sight in Ash's opinion.
"He'd only be after you 'cause he loves you."
A shy giggle hummed on Rebecca's lips. "I know, I love him too which is why I don't want him worrying over my stupid antics. That's my job to do for him, you guys, and everyone else!"
"What's your job, princess?" A familiarly gruff voice asked as the subtle wooshing sound of the store doors opening filled the air.
Rebecca nearly choked on her drink as she caught the sight of her partner's sliver of a smile. After pounding her chest a few times, Rebecca beamed back the sales pitch that was grating to even her, "My job is to offer you guys a credit card! You save thirty-five percent when you take the moment to sign up, wanna try?"
Jack's icy sights only rolled as he shook his head and firmly denied her. He then cast his gaze over to Ash as he questioned what his girlfriend was really on about.
"While I was completing the delivery, the princess revealed she's been working on an empty stomach."
Ash smiled at Rebecca, showing her that selling out her secrets wasn't going to be a bad thing. Rebecca, on the other hand, glowered at the warrior with an expression that was meant to convey she was going to kill him. But in reality, she looked more like a kid who was snitched on for stealing from the cookie jar.
While this silent confrontation occurred between his two loved ones, Jack's gaze narrowed in on the petite princess. "What? When do you go on break or get the hell out of here?"
Another shy laugh left Rebecca's lips, but this one was much more nervous than flustered. "Well, I had my fifteen minutes half an hour ago... So I probably have another half hour yet before I can clock out. But I promise I'm fine!"
Jack stayed silent for a good moment with his lips pursed into a tight line. If it was up to him, he'd grab Rebecca by the wrist and the two of them would already be halfway to ordering something from the deli around the block. But considering that she was the only cashier who was working and that his brashness would only upset her bosses, Jack decided against it. Even if a part of him did just want to deck the older man that was glaring at the three of them for not taking better care of their workers.
"Fine, but when you get out of here--"
"I'm dead meat?" Rebecca finished, cautiously shying away as her partner stalked towards her.
But instead of lightly flicking the top of her head as Rebecca expected, Jack only sighed and patted it a few times. He then let his hand fall to briefly caress her cheek, before letting his calloused hand run down the smooth skin of her arm.
"No. We're getting you something to eat."
--
Jack and Ash left shortly after their date was made since Rebecca's manager had begun to confront them about getting that credit card. Jack only rolled his eyes and left before the grumbly man could finish the pitch that was somehow even worse than his girlfriend's. Yet Ash swore that he saw Jack's eye twitch as the two walked out.
So after thirty more minutes of removing tags and bagging clothes had passed, Rebecca was finally relieved of her accursed duties. Her stumbling steps were so close to simply sprinting that when she met up with her two earlier visitors, she nearly knocked the small container that Jack was holding out of his hands because she was so eager for the hug she was robbed of earlier.
Before the two had even fully untangled themselves, Jack brought the container to his girlfriend's attention.
"Here, I went out and got this instead of just waiting around."
Rebecca curiously tilted her head as she was handed the bowl and the three made their way to a nearby bench. The bowl was warm to the touch and whatever was inside looked golden and creamy. When Rebecca opened the lid and the savory aroma swept through her senses, a wide smile spread across her lips. Singing the praise of the two men and snuggling into the side of her love, Rebecca only paused to begin eating.
Now although any passerby would think that Jack was disgruntled by the affectionate display, Ash could see the smile creeping up his lips while he watched her eat and the subtle way that his iron grip pulled his partner closer...
So as mentioned before I beat Final Fantasy: Strangers of Paradise! Not to mention that I can work the game's lore into my Royal AU! So I'm just writing an outline of how it'd work. (Some, kind of, spoilers just in case any of you intend on playing! But I did my best to keep it vague)

(Sorry, not sorry this man has got a chokehold on me!!)
Jack and his gang are from a kingdom unknown to any place in my realm.
All they know is that they want to hunt and kill Chaos and that the rest of their being is better off forgotten.
As they keep hunting Chaos and this darkness while meeting with me and my mom for info, fragments of memories and sparks of familiarity keep striking them.
Despite successfully eliminating sources of darkness, more keeps looming and seemingly growing stronger.
During these endeavors, they've all come to care for me and I care for them. I even go as far as defending them and their actions when other people begin thinking they're the evil ones.
Well, when these monsters break through my kingdom's defenses while they're away, my guards, a few friends, my mom, and I are all on the front lines to keep our people alive. I have pretty good offensive magic but mainly work as a healer for the wounded.
Jack and the others return in time to help us, and at that point they have most of their memories restored.
They've been through this exact cycle before, too many times to count.
The people of their home have been using my realm for their own gain. They've been the ones flushing such vileness into the world and sent Jack and his friends to regulate it. And if things go out of hand, they simply reset the plane and erase their warrior's memories.
To say that Jack and his friends are pissed is an understatement. But what pisses them off more is that the tragedy they witness has been seared into their minds...
I'm immensely weak from exerting so much energy making sure everyone else was safe, so with the wounds I've sustained already all it takes is one more to finish me off. This is exactly what I take when shielding all those lingering from an elemental quake.
Of course, everyone is losing their shit. The only princess of the Aster-Blossom empire sacrificed herself for the sake of the warriors and her people.
But even with my final breaths, I share a smile and a very tired giggle. (Something Jack usually loved to witness but now was just wrong in his eyes.) As I tell them I'll be fine, but "Heh, who heals the healer...?"
When darkness is mixed with such volatile emotions, that is when Chaos truly corrupts. And that is what Jack is going to use to not only break this cycle but break my realm and himself away from his old world
My mother and my loved ones find me right as Jack lays me down and leaves. They only caught the back of this 'monster' so they don't realize what and who it is.
But my friend Ren (which is @floweringforgetfulness ) is so sick of death ripping away those who she loves. In her anger, she forsakes her personal promise of only using offensive magic (MORE LORE WITH HER LATER) and unleashes a powerful spell that manages to revive me.
No one knows how she did it and once she knows I'm well, she demands no one ask her to EVER do that again. Everyone respects that wish and her guard Yone takes it upon himself to watch over her as we all head back to Rosenfield castle.
Jack succeeds in his new personal quest of BECOMING Chaos and infecting the link between worlds so much that his people sever it completely. He doesn't care though, the Aster-Blossom empire is his home now even if everyone ends up fearing him.
He does return to Rosenfield, expecting to quietly mourn the love he'd now never have. But there is no funeral, no despair (at least none as severe as he'd expected), and no noticeable difference other than repairs going on.
At first, he's pissed. This empire claimed to adore their princess but her own mother can't even host a public gathering in her remembrance.
He's prepared to storm the castle, rage blinding him. He's done with these false dreams, fake tales of happy endings, and all that shit. But as he enters the castle, Alys meets him right there.
Before he can call out her fake benevolence, she raises a hand and beckons for him to follow.
Jack's doing everything to bite his tongue, but everything in his being is clenched tight.
Though Alys simply escorts him to my room, nodding to the guards in passing to lighten up just a bit.
As the door is opened and they step inside, Jack is met with the sight of me lying in bed, surrounded by pillows and plushies and medical equipment alike, playing my switch
When I see who's come to visit, I light up and go to sit up. But my movement is very limited due to how sore I am and I'm scolded by a nurse for moving at all.
Both Jack and my mom rush over telling me to take it easy. Jack remarks about how I, of all people, should listen to those providing proper medical treatment.
I laugh, followed by another groan, as I take Jack's hand in my own and profess how happy I am that he's okay and that he's here for a new day.
Jack caresses my cheek, being extremely gentle considering he's engulfed in terrifying armor. Then he tells me that this time he's here to stay, that he won't be rushing off anymore, and that if we'd let him he wants Rosenfield to be his home.
Considering that Jack deviated from his orders to protect the empire and seems to be in perfect control despite the darkness within him, my mom agrees. But she does ask what he and his friends will do if they don't plan on wandering anymore.
Jack replies that even if he severed the ties to his old world, they may try to reform it. So along with protecting me, he's going to use the shrine of Chaos and his power with his friends to train other Warriors so that the cycle remains broken...
"Now princess, once you're feeling better, how about I spirit you away to my dark castle?"
I blush and joke that it's such a scandalous proposal, but it'd be nice to get out again before returning to daily duties. Alys, on the other hand, clears her throat and casts Jack a protectively warning glance.
"Don't worry, I'd have her back sometime within the next week... Maybe..."
Warnings: Some cursing, but nothing in malice. OTHER THAN THAT JUST FLUFF!! Also some poooooooooossible oocness but I think I got it good!
Ship: The Ripper’s Rose (Raiden x myself)
Also Jetstream Sam x my friend Ace
Summary: When walking home from my bank well after midnight, I stop at my friend’s house for a visit. But upon seeing how exhausted I am, she’s not letting me go home alone
A/N: Just for clarification Ace and Alyssa are the same person. The same goes for Raiden and Jack! Enjoy!
Eyes of ebony gazed into the window’s glow while the frigid wind whipped Rebecca’s back without any remorse. She stood on the crooked porch of her friend’s home that had been converted into separate spaces for multiple families waiting to be granted access once more to her haven from the hellish temperatures. When the door creaked open, amethyst wisps of hair smacked against her rosy cheeks and temporarily blinded Rebecca to the figure who greeted her.
It wasn’t the slim yet toned figure of her childhood friend, Ace, but instead, one that towered hers both in height and muscle. It was a man with long umber shaded hair tied into a ponytail, chocolate eyes that always seemed to burn brighter than the sun, a scruffy five o’clock shadow, and a long scar sliced deeply into the right half of his face. Using her fragile fingertips that had gone numb long ago to brush the strands away, a warm smile spread across Rebecca’s face.
“Ah, the lady of the hour. Come in, come in, Alyssa has already set up the fire and a drink for you.” The man greeted, beckoning Rebecca in with two metallic fingers before stepping aside.
The smile on her chilled lips grew even brighter as Rebecca gave a short bow. “Thank you, Sam, and happy holidays! I would’ve dropped by sooner to wish you well but school, work, and the government trying to screw me over have left me drained. I hope you have been enjoying the last bit of the year though and that Acey has been sending my regards.”
“She always does. It’s honestly very sweet that you look past my past with Jack to still wish me well.”
Rebecca let out a quiet laugh as she wandered what was practically her second home growing up. “It’s no biggie! As I told you shortly after you came back, you are my sister’s husband so if she trusts you to keep her arms open for you then so can I! But if you ever hurt her...”
“Yes, I know, I know. You’ll have my head, and by you, I mean that your guard dog Jack will. But you know that without Alyssa I’d not even be alive, honestly.”
The polite conversation slowly shifted to a slightly wary silence as the two made their way to the kitchen. Yet any reservation that Rebecca held was thrown to the softly howling wind as she finally met with her sapphire haired sister-figure. Her slow steps burst out into a stumbling dash as she rushed to tackle the older woman by two years in a hug.
“Acey, you’re an absolute lifesaver! You know that right? It’s so fucking cold out there, it’s not even funny!”
A slight smirk crept on Ace’s lips as she caught the shorter girl in the tight embrace. She only removed one of her hands to flick Rebecca’s forehead before returning it to where it had been rubbing her back to help warm her up. “And you’re absolutely insane, you know that, right? What’re you doing out so late? It’s twenty to one in the morning and twenty-five to zero outside! And why didn’t you have anyone accompanying you?! You know what kind of assholes are out there, especially at this time of night!”
The laugh that left Rebecca’s lips this time was much more sheepish as her dark chocolate gaze flicked from her life-long friend to the floor, then to the kitchen table where two mugs filled with steaming liquid sat.
“Um well, because I’m a dumbass! I bought myself a last-minute Christmas or early b-day present but I went below my net in my bank account and I’m forgetful sooo I just went out to restore it! It was only a quick thirty-minute walk one way, so I’ll be home in no time! I just wanted to stop by since I know you were awake!”
Ace shook her head, but the smile on her lips remained. Out of all the people in the world, her little sister would be the one to do this. She was always drawn to the silence of the sleeping world, finding it even more enchanting to wander around while everyone else slept. A slight exhale left Ace’s lips as she took a moment to admit to herself that she had probably been the one who planted that seed of wonder when the two were much younger.
Her slightly scolding gaze of thrashing seas melted to a still lake as she looked Rebecca over and found no wear or tear. “Well, at least you bundled up this time, but you still feel like a friggen ice-pack!! C’mon, sit down; the marshmallows I put in our cocoa are gonna melt into nothing soon enough!.”
So the two took their respected seats and began sipping on their drinks, with Rebecca once again deeming her sister as a lifesaver for the sweet treat. The two stayed there for about fifteen minutes, with Sam also pulling up a chair to join them, talking about everything that came into their thoughts. Ace could see her little sister growing more exhausted by the minute though. From the way, her eyelids began to droop and how the weight of her head was becoming too much to hold up, she knew that Rebecca wouldn’t make it in the land of the conscious too much longer. So when the young girl slid back and shakily stood up to bid the hosting couple a good night, Ace simply walked to her side and forced Rebecca to plop down back into her chair.
“What makes you think I’m letting you walk home?”
Rebecca’s heavy eyelids shot wide open as she looked up at Ace. “I-I only came for a visit! There’s no way in hell I’m letting you let me stay or drive me back! I don’t wanna be a bother!”
Once again, Ace flicked Rebecca’s forehead. “One: You’re never a bother. Two: You’re right around the corner. Three: I will not let you go back to walking another fifteen minutes all alone, so if I won’t drive you back I know someone who will. Heard from a source he was working late anyway, Sam can you call Raiden for me and let him know that his girlfriend is trying to make a dumbass decision again?”
Rebecca tried to protest, squirming around and insisting she was fine but Sam smirked and remarked how he was on it. Ace just brought her to the couch by the heater in the living room to let her rest.
Sam stood nearby in the foyer as he dialed his old enemy and current work-rival, silently pondering if the cyborg with silver shaded hair would even answer. The phone had begun its fourth ring and he then wondered if getting ahold of Wolf would be a better way to get in contact with him. But before he could get too far on to that train of thought, there was a soft clicking sound before a familiarly raspy voice spat,
“What the hell do you want?”
Although there was no way that the stormy gazed man on the other end of the line could see him, Sam slowly raised his hands in a surrender gesture.
“Always so defensive, aren’t you Jack? Don’t worry I’d like to keep this short as well so I’ll just get to the point. Your little kitten is at my house, it was something about buying a gift then wanting to go to the bank to manage her funds. She stopped by to visit with my Alyssa and now wants to walk herself home--”
“What?!” Raiden growled before there was a short pause.
Sam could only imagine him gritting his teeth together and pressing his foot further down on the pedal. Thinking back on the comparison he had made about him earlier, it took all his willpower for Sam to stifle the chuckle reverberating in his chest as he thought further on the mental image. The idea of the oh-so-infamous ‘Jack the Ripper’ acting as nothing more but a scary guard dog to his innocent and kitten-like girlfriend was something that Sam never thought possible. But then again one could say that Sam was in a very similar position with his wife, so who was he to judge?
Before Sam could further explain the situation, he was silenced by Jack telling him that he’d be there in fifteen minutes and not to touch Rebecca in the meantime before he hung up. Sam chuckled to himself as he strode into the room where the two women were resting, slinging his arm around his wife and explaining the current situation.
Lifting her heavy head from Ace’s lap, Rebecca softly spoke, “Oh no... I didn’t wanna cause him any trouble. I hope he’s not mad. I can walk, really!”
“Mad at you? I don’t think he’s capable. But at me, well, there’s a possibility.” Sam assured, although his jovial tone revealed how little that mattered to him.
Rebecca let out a soft sigh of relief before laying her head back down to return to her rest, leaving the hosting couple to get cozy with each other. Yet within only thirteen minutes, there was a low humming of a car engine sounding from outside and only a minute after that the sound of knocking against their heavy wood door. Seeing how Ace was still occupied with her cat-like friend, Sam was the one to greet the other guest of the night waiting outside their door. Unlike before however, these two didn’t exchange pleasantries. These two barely exchanged a full glance before Raiden brushed by his host to greet his partner.
When he did enter the living room and took in the sight of Rebecca’s small stature all curled up in the warm scarlet hue of the heater, her expression free from any strife or worries. Raiden brought his hand over his mouth but that couldn’t hide the way the corners of his mouth twitched upwards or the warmth that coursed through him just by being in such a peaceful presence, her presence.
Once more Sam strolled in and stood beside Raiden, letting his arm rest on the other man’s shoulder. “See, there’s your kitten all safe and sound.”
Turning his narrowed gaze towards Sam, Raiden only told him to shut the hell up. His voice remained low as to not disturb the dear sight before him. But it was Ace who had broken the quiet as she cleared her throat.
“Will you two stop mind fucking each other? ‘Cause if you don’t then I’ll be the one having to stay with our cat the whole night.”
This seemed to snap the two out of their mental fighting as Raiden reached forward, easily scooping the small stature of his starlight into his arms. Without opening her eyes, Rebecca just wrapped her arms around her partner’s neck while a happy noise slipped from her lips. She then leaned forward to brush her lips against his cheek before immediately burying her face in the crook of his neck as though it was the safest place for her to be. Even though it was common knowledge how comfortable Rebecca was with her love, the wave of not only relief but pride that flowed through Raiden never ceased.
He then quickly said his goodbyes to Rebecca’s sister and her husband. Thanking them both for keeping an eye on her before carrying his partner out.
The sensations, however, tickled his cybernetics nerves and Raiden couldn’t help the soft chuckle that escaped his lips. “Long night, huh?”
“Mmmmm, needed something special... as a gift... Now I gotta recharge. It’s too cold.”
“Alright then, I got the car still running so it’s nice and warm for you. But next time, just call me if you needed to get out for a bit.”
Rebecca lulled her head to the side as she let out a breath of a laugh, “I know, but I wanted to surprise you with a gift, ‘cause I love you...”
Raiden leaned down slightly and pressed his lips against Rebecca’s forehead. “I don’t need anything else when I’m lucky enough to have you by my side... So, as I said if you need anything just give me a call, alright? I love you more than you’ll ever know...”
I was thinking back to when Raven was just a simple member of the Pizza Time Pizza family. Playing catch up and learning how she has been since high school was fascinating. Honestly for a while I didn't peer into her mind or thoughts for a moment. With her, I'm not sure why at the time but I really wanted to let her have her privacy.
But soon when I eventually did, I was pretty entertained. The way she was gushing so much, so protective over the family, those fuzzy feelings in her bubbles up. I was surprised that she even tried to hide these feelings, I think even to herself she was hiding it well. Yet it was obvious to everyone, it was adorable how she thought she was sneaky. Especially since she's very easily flustered, my adorable disciple.
Still feels a bit off having her Tumblr and typing this out. But I wanted to talk about my darling Raven for a moment.
Raven is tackling college and it hasn't been easy. Me and Alex have been doing our best to be there, and god do I wish I could see her smile more. Laugh more rather than be stressed out. Just wrapped myself around her and give her the tightest hug I could ever give.
I'm happy to be there for her and so is Alex. And I'm hoping when her birthday comes, she has a wonderful birthday. It would be wonderful to celebrate her birthday with Alex, truly cherishing those two so much.
