Here's a writing prompt: What if Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw switched places? Like as in Brambleclaw is the one trying to execute his dad's will instead of Hawkfrost!

IM FINALLY DONE… MONTHS LATER.. HI FOAM!! I was gonna make this a short little thing but it got away from me n here we r 8000 words later 😟 it’s gone thru beta readers n its been in development hell for TOOO long

Brambleclaw is an evil bastard :] hawkfrost is slightly less worse but he cries multiple things thru this wholeee thing!! Mothwing yells at him!! The cats try to kill eachother!! They say curse words and god!! Brambleclaw is not homophobic!!

Fun fact: For an AU, I was writing a new family tree. Eliminating Whitestorm from Ashfur and Ferncloud's family caused me to do THREE HOURS OF EDITING for a single cat being removed.

THATS THE PREDICAMENT IM IN if i want to change stuff for my tbc rewrite i will have to change ALL of the biggest family trees and either remove characters or make more forbidden romances

I am so extremely tired from doing excessive research to see if my ships are related. Hawkfrost is related to Sorreltail, Sootfur, and Rainwhisker!

On a scale from 1-10 how bad is Rootie's family tree, and can you show examples?

i can indeed! honestly off the top of my head this one is a 10/10 for one of if not The worst family tree that i know of (ofc all of them are equally bad in my mind bc they literally didn’t have to do that at all if they just paid attention and had a big ol guide)

these are the Ones. that i can find. red is hawkwing and pebbleshine being first cousins, green is quailfeather and reedclaw's parents being half-siblings, aaaand there's finleap and twigbranch being connected (distantly, technically, but still connected)

i am not kidding when i say two changes to this family tree as it's shown here would fix the problems. take either hawkwing or pebbleshine out of the picture for violetshine and twigbranch's parents, and make clovertail sandynose OR tinycloud's mother, not both

probably! spider is part of the bluestar family tree due to the aforrementioned whitebrindle thing which is massive and hawk is from the tigerstar tree which is also pretty big. if we aren't counting whitebrindle as canon then no they're not
