Imagine Watching A Scary Movie With Patrick
Author’s Note: So, I watch Stephen King’s It over the weekend and let me tell you, the movie is SO GOOD! That movie will be mentioned in the imagine, but I will not be giving any spoilers because y’all gotta watch it. If you do, please remember that it is a scary movie and there are moments of scary themes and abuse (it’s never said but through people’s actions you can tell there is abuse between an adult and a minor). – Haley xx
Being squished between Joe and Patrick to watch the latest scary movie was something you were all too familiar with. Ever since becoming friends with the band, this was something you all would do whenever they had enough time to leave stardom to just do something fun. You five snuck away after tonight’s concert to catch the midnight show of Stephen King’s It; a movie you had been dying to watch since you saw the previews of it.
So here you were, taking popcorn from Joe’s bucket while trying not to scream your lungs out at every jump scare. You and Patrick had your arms on the same armrest and when the newest jump scare happened, Patrick grabbed your wrist with his fingers. You didn’t notice because you had almost flipped the popcorn bucket in Joe’s lap while being freaked out.
Another light-hearted moment followed that and your heart could rest for a moment. You felt the heat of Patrick’s arm against yours and looked down at the armrest. His fingers were still wrapped around your wrist which caused you to blush slightly. You had always had a crush on Patrick since becoming friends with him.
Patrick sensed you looking at his hand and let go of you. “Sorry,” he mumbled, folding his hands in his lap.
You nodded, “It’s fine,” you whispered.
You two continued watching the movie. This movie was filled with the most gut-wrenching jump scares and when the scariest came onto the screen, you and the entire movie theater screamed. You grabbed the closest thing to you, which was Patrick’s arm and buried your face in it. “Fuck this,” you heard Patrick say when you finally had enough courage to look at the large screen.
You clung to Patrick’s arm for the rest of the movie and hid your face one more time before the movie ended. When the lights came back on and everyone started leaving, you five sat there until everyone left so not to cause so much fuss.
“You okay?” Patrick asked you. “You screamed a lot.”
“Yeah,” you said. “It was just terrifying. I can’t wait to watch it again.” Patrick chuckled and shook his head. “Um, sorry for holding on to you for dear life.”
“Nah, it’s fine,” Patrick said. You could see the tips of his ears turn red. “Sorry for trying to hold your hand in the beginning.”
“It seems like we both need each both during this movie,” you pointed out.
“M-Maybe we could n-need each other for more than just this,” Patrick stammered out. You looked over at him and saw his whole face was turning pink which made your heart swell.
You took his hand into yours, “I’d like that, Trick.”
