feel free to also reblog this with tags for things you cant find in the search either! the more unknown fandoms that I learn about the merrier!
"he makes me laugh"
jackie owns a silly guy
It’s super cute how Shadow’s first instinct upon returning to the nest was to lean down and crane his neck to get a good look at the egg 💕
TW for video: gore (animal eating another dead animal)
They have grown so much! I am so happy at how well Sunny and Gizmo have grown. It won't long until we get the sad/happy day when they are ready to go off on their own. It seems like just a little bit ago I was waiting to see them hatch.
Happy news from Big Bear CA
For the first time in three years, bald eagles Jackie & Shadow have chicks in the nest. Two eggs have already hatched, and the third pipped yesterday. (A "pip" is the first breaking of the shell by the chick). It should be fully hatched within 24-36 hours.
Jackie & Shadow are the only known bonded bald eagle pair in Big Bear. You can see them on the 24/7 livestream presented by the Friends of Big Bear Valley.
i've been watching live cams of jackie and shadow's eaglets
i think E2 is mimicking the parents. she likes sitting on E3
been meaning to share this and while there's still a full moon out, here's a little story. 3 months ago Friends of Big Bear Valley posted an update on the situation of the land (Moon Camp) the Bald Eagles and other wildlife forage for food. for decades Sandy has being fighting against a luxury developer from developing on the land that'd ruin the wildlife's habitat. now Friends of Big Bear Valley have until July 31st of this year to raise $10 million dollars to purchase the land for permanent conservatorship
