At the beginning of the 18th century, when the settlements of New France did not exceed the population of 18,000, began to adopt the maple leaf as a Canadian emblem along the San Lorenzo River [1]. His popularity among Canadian French-speaking immigrants continued, and strengthened when, at the inaugural meeting of Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste in 1834, the maple leaf was proposed as one of the many emblems to represent society. Speaking in his favor, Jacques Viger, the first Mayor of Montreal, described maple as "the king of our forests ... the symbol of the Canadian people."#fogliacero#canada #nikon#nikonitalia#church#medieval#architecture#history#awesome#pic#photo#photography#life#travel#love#nature#monthernature#colors#landscape#instagram#ig#yalleritalia#volgoitalia#italia#it#istagram
