Why would US Customs and Border Protection be vetting actors? Vetting them for what? I know the FBI run checks on actors and film-makers they work with, and sometimes the military do too, but I was a little surprised to find this in the latest batch of FOIA documents I got from the Department of Homeland Security. I had forgotten about this - when I FOIAed the Director of National Intelligence in late 2017 for a copy of their review on the intel community's liaisons with Hollywood I also requested an email address for their office of public affairs, because despite being their public point of contact there was no way to actually get in contact with them.
