Foiltale - Undyne

Whoo, this took me a lot longer than it should have, but it’s done! At least, as much as an amateur like myself can color sprites. I think the hardest part was her mask because I didn’t know how to go about making it, and when I finally found a solution, I was re-creating at least half of it myself.

Also, I have learned that making a sprite look like its “melting and “oozing” is hard for beginners. Ease up on the determination (the black ooze), Undyne, you’re gooping all over the floor!

Anyway, it is what it is. Not the best picture out there, but I wanted to give you guys a visual of what Undyne looks like for when she appears in the story.

What does Foil!Undyne look like?

I suppose you’re asking about a sprite reference? I’ve tried making a sprite of foil!Undyne before, but I failed so spectacularly that it dissuaded me from trying again for a while - but! I shall try again during this weekend, along with touching up some of the other sprite references, working on the blog links/layout, and working on the story itself. This will be a very Foiltale-filled weekend for me lol. If I horribly fail again, I’ll end up commissioning someone when I have the money. :)

If you don’t mind a written description for now:“She is normally decked out in her full neutral-run armor, complete with helmet. Her left eye flashes yellow through her helmet’s eye hole, and a suspicious black goo occasionally drips from between her armor’s semi-melting plates. Given that she rarely, if ever, takes it off, no one knows what she looks like underneath the metallic body suit. If one had to guess, it almost seems melted or fused with her person.Note that same inky-black goo flowing from her armor can be found stained on the Determination Extractor’s frame…”
