Today's #foilfriday is JUGAN🐲~inspired by the EDH 2020 Rules Update! #jugantherisingstar • • • In case you hadn't heard, moving forward with M21 generals dying or being exiled will trigger before going to the command zone. • • • I am SUPER excited and today's #zcotd (ZBexx's Card of the Day) has a story behind it. Kaalia may have been the first deck ever handed to me but Jugan was the first deck I built. When you spend hours digging through gathering for the perfect cards--in my case I was intrigued by the dual creature type Dragon Spirit and naturally found a lot in Jugan's home block of Kamigawa so I went with a spirit sub-theme and based a lot of my deck around his dying trigger. Come to play my first time ever with my own deck, and first EDH tournament as I had been playing Standard and Limited up to this point. I excitedly showed people before the tournament I built Jugan! Quickly, a few friendly players informed me I wouldn't get him back in the Command Zone *and* get his dies trigger. I was devastated. They saw I had Azusa/Oracle of Mul Daya and suggested I use one of those for the night and that's how I came to be an Azusa player.
