75 and Alphyne? :P
75. “I’m going for a swim. Do you wanna join me?”
“I’m going for a swim. Do you wanna join me?” Undyne looked at her expectantly, that ever present, ever goofy grin spread across her face.
Alphys wrung her hands nervously. “I think I-I’m just going to sit here by the pool for now.”
Going to the local swimming pool had been Undyne’s idea. They were free at last! And Undyne was just starting to realise that maybe humans don’t suck as much as she’d previously thought… anyone who came up with the idea to put a hell-load of water in a hole just for the purpose of swimming in was obviously a super cool person.
“Sure thing!” Undyne said, diving in the pool as Alphys positioned herself on the edge, splashing her feet in the water playfully.
She watched Undyne cut through the water with minimal effort, swimming a whole length in the blink of an eye. She was incredible, and athletic, and smart, and cool, and hot and-
“Alph- you okay there?” Undyne smirked, swimming up to the drooling lizard.
“Y-yeah! I’m fine,” she said, embarrassed at herself. Was her crush showing? Was she being that obvious? Was she being creepy?
Whilst Alphys was having an internal panic, Undyne had raised herself out of the pool. She sat by Alphys and shook her red hair out of her face, tucking the wet strands behind her ears.
“You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
“Wha-what?!” Alphys raised her hands to her mouth in shock, her cheeks were on fire.
Undyne chuckled. “I’m just teasing!”
“Oh…”
“I mean, hey- this is a date! You can’t expect me not to compliment you,” Undyne said, nudging Alphys with her elbow.
Alphys looked at her like she was going mad. “D-date? This is a date? A r-real date? Oh my God!?”
Undyne threw her head back with laughter. “Of course it’s a date, ya big nerd! We’re even wearing matching swimwear!”
“I-I thought you were just being friendly!”
Undyne laughed harder, making the others at the pool turn and give her wary glances.
“Alph, you’re the best.”
“O-oh, I don’t know about that- OH!”
Whilst Alphys was babbling, Undyne had leant in and left a sweet kiss on her cheek, she could feel the skin underneath her lips grow warm from the touch.
“I-I- Oh my God!! I-” Alphys was now a violent shade of red, stuttering mumbled word into her hands.
The sight of her made Undyne scream with laughter, her fists pounding the pool tiles so hard they came loose. “YOU’RE SO CUTE!!”
