"Hey there time boy, how's it hangin?" said Jinx, a manic smile spread across her face as she jumped from her hiding spot.

“Gah!” Ekko jumped in surprise, stumbling away from where Jinx had popped out, arms pinwheeling as he tried to keep him balance.  Of all people to jump out at him, of course it would be Jinx.

“Jesus Christ! Why were you even hiding in there?!” Ekko watched the girl warily as he blubbered out his question.  He’d had a huge crush on her at one point, but that was before she went crazy and started talking to her guns.  Now he wasn’t sure whether to like her or be scared of her.

Upon wandering the institute one fine afternoon, Sona noticed a smaller boy with white hair pointed straight up. Instantly, she recognized him from the announcements made about new members of the institute, "Welcome, Ekko." Her music flowed towards him. Her mouth never moved as her fingers danced upon her instrument.

Ekko looked up in surprise, looking around trying to locate the source of the voice that had seemingly wandered it’s way into his head.  His gaze finally landed on a woman who was floating with a strange looking instrument.  She had long blue hair, and she reminded him of Jinx, only more…. Elegant?  Civilized?  Normal?  His mind finally clicked and realized that she must have been the one who spoke to him.

“Oh, uh, hey?” He said, awkwardly, “Who are you? You kinda remind me of an old friend of mine.”

Experiments Gone Wrong (Open)

Black smoke billowed out of a room in the institute as Ekko came tumbling through the doorway, coughing and wheezing.  He stumbled over to the wall and leaned against it, doubled over and hacking his lungs out for a moment.  After finally regaining his breath, he took in a deep breath of air and slumped against the wall, sliding down into a sitting position.

“Well that didn’t quite go as planned,” He mumbled to himself.

He looked down at his wrist, contemplating whether or not to activate his zero drive to try that one more time, see if maybe the 37th try is the charm.  The sound of footsteps caught his attention before he could though, he looked up, wondering who might be wandering this section of the institute.
