the first three songs(the lakes, seven, epiphany) signify wanting to run away and finding a safe space cause everything feels like a storm and you just escape and the next three songs(cardigan, mirrorball, exile) all talk about how no matter how hard you try, the dark times are a part of you and they come back and you can't escape them

I... love being able to listen to this album through these different lenses now, I think when we get to listen to Taylor albums for the first time we all have our own ways of listening to them and jumping around to songs that we’re more into and we create this really personal listening experience for ourselves. So with Taylor grouping all of these songs into their own common themes in a way it’s like getting to listen to this album through how Taylor hears it and I think that’s just the coolest thing
es·cap·ism
/əˈskāpˌizəm/
the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy
Thought I’d submit this here in case any of your followers are interested in helping figure out wtf taylor’s chapter groupings mean

amazing i love it!!!
y’all see any major parallels?
The Moment I Knew is a song that describes moment of someone not showing up at Taylor's birthday party.
Invisible string is a song that describes her current relationship situation and she put it onto the "yeah I showed up at your party" chapter
