I’m still grasping the meaning taylor sought, putting such an emphasis on pain throughout the album. It strikes me as- almost an inevitable piece in the progression of life. Life, not always glitter and glistening, will feel pain of all sorts. From growth, to healing, to passion and love, to hurtfulness and falling apart, to losing someone loved, and to remembering your past. It is all around us, yet without pain you would not feel the intense outbursts of love.
