A little over a year ago we added a cafe / restaurant to our little shop. We’ve learned more about food and health safety, building codes and ADA requirements then we ever thought we’d know. But through the process we started to drift from our core... from the love that got us where we are. Things were more challenging and the fun and drive for the shop was slipping away. So over the holidays we realized this wasn’t the dream. That being said we’ve made moves to get back to our true passion and love that is the little funky waterman shop. Sharing our love for design and the ocean with everyone. So, as of this afternoon we will be closing our location at 1140 Highland Ave. We will be reopening our shop in Mid April in a fresh location in downtown Manhattan Beach, stay tuned. Though it’s bittersweet to close a chapter of our journey, we know that this is what’s best for us both personally and for our brand. Our tears are those of renewed excitement for what can be and what we can become. Thank you to everyone who supported our experiment and have always had our back. We can’t wait to share the next evolution of Nikau Kai... with you. In the meantime we’ll see you in the water.
