30 Uncommon Character Development Questions ( send me a number )
1: What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
Foma falls asleep ramrod-straight. Arms at his sides, legs straight, head facing upwards. However, when he's properly asleep, he subconsciously shifts to face the center of the bed and curls his arms up towards his chest. When he and Fyodor were very little, they used to share a bed, and they often slept facing one another. It's a subconscious habit he's never managed to shake.
5: What are their chief tension areas?
Foma holds much of his tension in his jaw and shoulders, courtesy of his physical means of containing anger--he has a tendency to tense up his jaw to keep from screaming, and to stiffen his shoulders to refrain from throwing any punches. The tension mounts into pain, sometimes, since he never does anything to try and alleviate it. The idea of getting a massage or anything of the like freaks him the fuck out. So, yeah. Jaw and shoulders, tense forever.
29: Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?
It depends on the situation. See, nothing is every really silent for Foma. His head is full of echos and conversations spilling from unlocked rooms in his mind--he cannot help leaving a few doors ajar. When there is too much noise and the doors left open are just as loud, he can't stand it. He'll either snap or just up and leave. When his head is quiet, though, the absence of sound is unnerving. He'll get antsy and even go so far as to make noise himself, such as playing music or tapping his pen against his desk. So, long answer short, he likes noise when his head is quiet, and silence when his head is loud.
30: Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?
Tula gingerbread. If asked, he'd claim something much more logical, of course, but the child that still lingers within the carousel infects him with a damn near pathetic obsession with Tula gingerbread. His mother brought it home after a trip to her hometown, and Foma's loved the sweet ever since. He hasn't had it in very many years, but he is convinced that he could eat it for the rest of his life without complaints.
