Family fun
The annual open day at Nunhead Cemetery is always a great day out – and this year’s event is no exception.
Attractions will include history, ecology and local group stalls, a plant sale, birds of prey and a children’s bug hunt. There will be homemade refreshments, choirs in the chapel, wood-crafting demonstrations and an exhibition in the mausoleum.
The open day is on May 16 from 11am-5pm and is free to attend. All profits go to the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery (FONC), which promotes the preservation and appreciation of the cemetery as a place of remembrance, historic importance and natural beauty.
