Forgotten Storage

I felt like sketching some ring tf stuff. Initially just gonna be a few standalone shots. But then I had the idea for this with the swap rings. Kinda bounced between pens at the beginning until I decided which I wanted to work with.

FØNX’s Jack Rabbits is the sort of song that’ll ignite a dancing fit so passionate that you’ll feel like a rabbit yourself, hopping and leaping around in delirious exhilaration. The song arrived earlier this year alongside the East Sussex musician’s debut EP of the same name, out on frtyfve records. FØNX fuses French electro house with an irresistible funk groove and a sweltering pastiche of R&B and pop on the title track, drawing inspiration from the likes of Jamiroquai, Pharrell Williams, and Mark Ronson. FØNX explains: “The initial ideas for Jack Rabbits came about at a time when I needed to vocalize my emotions. I find the only way I can come to terms with things sometimes is to write about it and in this case I wanted to try make a fun track and something you could dance to almost flip the situation on its head and make light of the situation.” His 4-track Jack Rabbits EP was written, produced, and mixed himself. Though it’s only been out a couple of weeks, FØNX already has plans for his second EP later this year. He’s been back in the studio working on a new live show. Buy or stream Jack Rabbits, here.

East Sussex newbie FØNX arrives with a song named Hit Me Hard, and he does hit us hard, right on point, with this spellbinding sonic concoction. The soulful acoustics and electrifying R&B on this bewitching tune nearly feel like a cross between Frank Ocean and Ed Sheeran, a heavenly pairing as it turns out. Hit Me Hard is FØNX’s first single, lifted from a debut EP he co-produced with Grammy award winning producer Tommaso Colliva (Muse). FØNX is ready to take on the world with his velveteen smoldering music after having studied at The Brit School for a couple of years and writing/producing his own material since.
