Pattern: Hello Tourist by Wondrlanding. I used Woolstok Worsted in 10 colors for the main color, plus the white for the contrast color.

A waistcoat I knit last year for my sister, using an original 1941 pattern.

This was my first attempt at colorwork knitting, and of course I jumped in the deep end with a vintage pattern. Luckily, it turned out to be a simple slip-stitch pattern. A lot simpler than expected.

Of course the resizing and added waist shaping wasn’t so simple, but all things considered, I think it turned out really well! And my sister agrees!

about five years ago i attempted this double knit baby blanket for one of my cousins before giving up and going with something more simple.. i’ve carried it around with me for a while but i think it’s finally time to frog her lol

sometimes you finish your beautiful wingspan shawl, wash it, pin it out for blocking on the only space large and animal-free enough to do so in the house (your bed)… aaaaand then forget that cotton takes a hundred years to dry, and suddenly it’s 11pm and both the shawl and your mattress are still wet.

Started my first pair of colorwork socks today.

I want to show off my biggest handspun project yet! I offered to make handspun/handknit gifts for Christmas this year, and my brother requested a black hoodie. The yarn is a three ply worsted, and it's two singles plied with black angora. The singles are a blend of Black Welsh Mountain, Perendale, Merino, and alpaca. Normally I like to spin absolute eye burner yarns, but my brother likes more subtle things 😅 Still, I love the natural color variations in it! It took months but he LOVES it and it was so worth it 😭
