Some of the bosses in Demons Souls are incredibly inspired and help build deep narrative cohesion while also being stellar examples of gameplay and narrative interweaving. The Fools Idol is one of those, with her narrative stating her to be to be an alluring automaton which keeps the prisoners of Latria pacified through false promises of hope and salvation. She is - rather literally - a fool's idol and the opium of the people. When the Player Character kills her, she is resurrected by an untrustworthy magician of sorts who swears he will do you no harm. You cannot proceed until you kill him.
Hope is here weaponised against the people perpetually and the only way to stop it is not to kill the idol, but the perpetuator.
Other bosses in Demons Souls are the Armor Spider which is dumb.
Still kind WIP as I need to clean up some linework and shading but it's mostly done.
P.S.: Pose is inspired by one of @gawki pieces. I don't wanna pretend that is not the case.
