"c'mon, i'm not that out of shape, am i?" roland's grin is easygoing, even as he offers up his burned arm. the library could revive everyone, but it seemed to heal much faster after julian took a look at their wounds. it was a strange phenomenon, but angela had said that it was due to the medical treatments that helped speed up the process, so roland could trust in that.

the thought is discarded as his smile fades, even as those dark eyes look over the doctor. "but what about you? you might be in the back and all, but they seemed to be targeting you pretty often. we almost couldn't keep up with those guys."

Grocery day was inevitable for the detective—a guy needed to eat. Though, his salary was subpar at best and it made him grimace just thinking about it before he had approached the younger; basket slung over his forearm—cheap cuts of meat, cabbages, some noodles…not an impressive grocery haul—but it’s all he could afford from that stupid job. Always treating him like garbage…always short handing him…but one thing Adachi was good at was wearing a mask—flipping the switch so easily that none would be the wiser.

“Your friend works here, right? That Hanamura kid? I think I saw him over by the electronics, if you’re looking for him.” Adachi rubbed the back of his head; lips curled into a false smile. These stupid brats, sticking their noses in where it didn’t belong…it pissed him off. He didn’t need them in his business—hell, he didn’t need them finding out about what he was doing, either. It was so frustrating…

“You gonna be over at the station sometime soon? It’s getting kinda busy, so I don’t blame you if wanna stay away from that place, y’know?” Fucking. Brats.

However with the recent self-outing of Ado Natsume over a book she has recently purchased, and ended up refunding, her eyes ' perked to something odd about the city itself ' . Specifically how it functions, how it tries ' desperately to breathe by various elevations of malice ' .

She slides the file to the side to make way for the cup of tea given by the individual ' on the opposing side of the bar's long table her, in such a cozy place like this ' .

T.J. didn't agree-- but whatever. who was he to disagree with the guy? what michael said is what went.

His stare at her was blank; an annoyed huff leaving him as his hands nestled their way into his pockets, shoulders tense and posture slouched as he stares down at the younger. She had been apart of STREGA—And sure, even if she was dating one of his friends ( if he considered Junpei that at all ), there was something about her he still didn’t trust.

“Just because you’re holding hands with Iori doesn’t mean you can come and give me life advice.” Shinjiro scowled at her; voice sharp and venomous as he spoke. Arms length—keep them all at arms length. He could deal with his own shit on his own.

“Is that all you came to say to me? I think you’re the last person that should be giving me advice about my past. It doesn’t concern you.”

It hadn’t been too long since he was going half deteriorated in Tartarus—about a month or so since he was brought back to the dorms—since Mitsuru had called members of the Kirijo group to come and see if he was repairable. He was—or else he wouldn’t still be here, now, would he?

Returning a little too late on his own wasn’t common for him—Adonys had genuinely been very prompt and on time. However, he was trying to find himself. He was trying to see…why these feelings and emotions were trying to develop—when he himself was a machine. Surely Aigis would understand, wouldn’t she? Orange eyes blink at her.

“I was…trying to get familiar with the area. I may have gotten a little lost.”

He wasn’t lying—everything was still so new to him. Humans were very interesting; and he may have gotten caught people watching a little bit. Still, Adonys managed to find his way home back to the dorms—though, judging by Aigis’ tone, he felt that she may have been…concerned.
