More About Strong Feet - A Solid Foundation
Because I’m in such bad shape right now, I really need to have a plan of attack for my feets. Strength, flexibility, blood flow, mobilization, gua sha, detoxing are all on my list of things to utilize over the next month.
Every morning I’m starting with a bit of a foot warm up - mobilizations. Basically, rolling my feet clockwise, then counter clockwise. Spreading my toes, squeezing my toes. Flexing the foot, pointing the toe. 30 seconds each.
Then, I’ll do some walking around the pole on my toes, both directions for about a minute each.
Do some heel raises from the floor... I’m working up to using the stairs so I can go below the stair for a good stretch.. but I’m not quite there yet.
In the evenings I’m rolling my feet around on a ball and putting on my toe spacers.
A couple of times a week I’ve been using some GMB videos to focus on the feet.
Once a week I’ve been soaking my feet and then doing some gua sha to open up some of the funkiness. It feels freaking amazing.
