"Details about prom this year? No, not really. You can ask Shelby, though. Shelby Dunnstuck. She's the president of the committee in charge of the prom. I have to warn you, she can be... catty. But hey, she's your best option if you want accurate information."

"My prom date will be J.D., of course. He is my boyfriend. I'll spend lots of time with Martha too. We've talked about prom since freshman year. I'll make sure she has a great time! And I guess I'll also be with the Heathers at some point. As much as I’d love to arrive with J.D., I think Heather mentioned something about renting a limo for the four of us."

"As for my prom dress, well... I'm not sure if I can share too much. I don't want to anger Heather. What I can say, is I've been searching on many magazines and I've managed to get my options down to 2 dresses. I'm trying to find a middle ground between my own personal style and the Heathers' demand for it to be blue. There's one in particular that speaks to me more than the other... Guess we'll see which one I’ll end up choosing."

Veronica was happily enjoying some pancakes at home when she felt the strange sensation of heat coming from the nearby window. The moment she looked up, her breakfast erupted into pieces. In distress and disarray, she could only utter three words:

"Oh, c'mon. We're way too young for that. We've barely been together for a month, and I– I don't even know his blood type! Yup! See? Can't marry someone if you don't know something so basic about them."

"The whole thing about his dad not being at our wedding was just a hypothetical question for the future. Besides, I haven't really talked about this with J.D. Maybe he doesn't even want to get married. Who knows?"

Doesn't mean I haven't thought about it. My diary sure is tired of getting all the details.

"Trust me, knowing J.D., he would not like it if I called him 'babygirl.' I mean, it's normally the other way around, right? Boyfriends call their girlfriends 'babygirl' since, well, the pet name has the word 'girl' in it... But it would be funny to see his reaction..."

She lightly shook her head, snapping out of her absorption. "Anyway, if you want my advice, stay away from him. Don't bother with Ram, or Kurt, or any of the jocks. They're not worth it."

"I have to go now, see if I can find J.D. and tell him Slurpees are on me today... I'll see you around!"
