chasing waterfalls
Britton and Caiden had been an unofficial item for a while. They weren’t seeing anyone else, but they hadn’t really kissed or anything like that yet. They were going on dates and getting to know each other. The anniversary of Koby’s death had come and gone and Caiden didn’t run when Britton grieved. Britton was excited for the vacation. Nora had asked if she wanted to be in charge of one of the houses, and Caiden was going to back her up. It was a little bit of responsibility that she had been looking for for some time. Once they got to the house, they realized they’d be sharing a bed, and while they had napped together, they hadn’t spent an entire night in the same bed yet. They had flown in early in the day, and with everything settled in and settled down, Britton asked Caiden if he wanted to go on a walk down the beach. She had heard there was a waterfall near by, and she wanted to check it out. And she wanted to check it out with him. “I’ve never seen a dolphin before,” Britton said. “Do you think we’ll see some? I hope we do. I want a picture of one for Bunny.”
