Arcane fandom of Tumblr what's with people on tiktok complaining that someone draws Vi looking femme and people (in a drawing not in the show) calling her femme bad? Im butch- at least I identify as butch- and I could care less what they do with her as a character outside of the show, like I love that in the show she's canonicly butch but like even I sometimes have her present more femme in fics (ie. my fixing powder fic) because I see characters as dolls to play with not people you can invalidate as they're NOT REAL and can't be offended, I don't see why some people criticise others for how they play dolls with characters I don't remember the post but it went like all head cannons exist at once in their head, and I live by that opinion in fandom spaces, I've lost my train of thought going back to the tiktok I saw, the person said that a masc in a dress can be invalidating as many where forced into dresses, but so was I and like I get that for some it's horrible to see a character you relate to not doing what you'd do but like maybe for someone else it's cathartic to see Vi in a dress or maybe they just find it hot. Like in another fic I'm writing Vis a housewife (ik ik I'm indulging myself) and in another one she's fem and Caits butch (not that that'll see the light of day past my doc) and I'm just so confused do people actually care if you present a butch character as femme? Like if they're real people I understand but they're not, headcannons and fanart/fic don't take away rep it's still in the show.
