opinions mean nothing only facts matter

I'm so goddamn sick of conversations falling flat and relationships fading

you know, I'm sick of academic writing being hard to read and people responding with "well, that's just higher level writing - get used to it"

I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to better ourselves and our understanding and comprehension, but eff you, you realize that by writing a text this way, you are effectively alienating exactly the people you are (usually) talking about, right?

you want people to be better? give them the fucking tools to get better

writing in obscure three to four syllable words does not make you smart or educated or deep, especially when there are better words that are easier to understand 

how about you come off the ivory tower and realize that there are people who want to know more and you are preventing them from doing that, effectively continuing the cycle of "othering" that lead to you feeling like you had to write an article about that "other" in the first place?
