Hi yes hello I crave more of your blaster and Soundwave stuff why was blaster about to throw up in the first one? Did Soundwave spin him too much while dancing?
Soooo, it’s a glitch he’s dealing with. It keeps getting worse until he has to step out of a meeting and Soundwave puts together what’s wrong.
Let me explain a little headcanon, in my little aus Cassette carriers were mechs forcibly reformatted under Sentinel Prime. Their frames and code had to be altered to have the ability to carry other mechs. The coding was very experimental, it made a carrier recognize their cassettes as a part of their body. This caused a number of glitches the worst one being physical pain and intense cramps if a carrier doesn’t dock a cassette for a long time. Blaster, being communications for the Autobots, never went very long without docking at least one of his cassettes. They all live their own lives, but they typically recharge in Blaster’s docks and don’t get sent out on long missions without Blaster.
Soundwave on the other hand is the third in command, his job is more taxing, and his cassettes are assigned more long term missions, especially since lazerbeak and Ravage are highly competent spies. Soundwave has experienced the full impact of the glitch and not wanting it to impact his function, made a false cassette. It provides the input to ease systems.
since ONLY two mechs were allowed on this mission both had to leave behind their cassettes.
