Golden Dragon Blood

Golden Dragon blood is actually blood only in name because its chemical composition is unlike anything organic, well out of the physiological pH range of humans and most humanoids. Chemically speaking, it can be classified as a superacid.

While a very potent alchemical ingredient, it is also exceptionally corrosive, toxic, and moisture-sensitive, and thus must be handled with great care. It can be stored only in containers lined with a nonreactive material (something like PTFE is required for safe long-term storage); it cannot be stored in glass vials as it will simply dissolve them.

Other properties:

direct contact with the blood of a Golden Dragon is potentially deadly to all but a handful of creatures, higher vampires being the most significant among them;

consumption of Golden Dragon blood by Higher Vampires has been known to induce psychedelic experiences;

it reacts violently with water, rapidly and explosively decomposing upon contact, the hydration process with Golden Dragon blood being an exothermic reaction. Consequently, it can’t be used in aqueous solutions.

the corpse of a golden dragon left to decay in nature will corrode or otherwise destroy everything around. It doesn't attract necrophrages or other monsters-- in fact, most will instinctively avoid the area;

HI THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ACTUALLY SENDING IN COFFIN MY LOVE!!!! especially within such a short time after I asked!! anyways this paranormal experience story is kinda freaky, even I find it disturbing and it revolves around a (haunted??) hospital too?? so i’ll keep it under the cut!!

a few years ago, I went to downtown vncvr with my mum so she could go to the hospital for something. I don’t remember when or why, but I remember just NOT wanting to go. I had to, of course, and I really hate the fact that she insisted that i go with her and not anyone else. she DIDN’T WANT TO GO GO ALONE. I didn’t think much of it then, but now that I realize it, my mum is a lot more sensitive to the paranormal than I am!!

the hospital downtown is super old and it’s widely rumored to be haunted! my mother had to go to a different floor unfortunately, so we had to take an elevator up.well. we meant to go to the 2nd or 3rd floor or something, but whichever floor the elevator took us to was not the right floor. we went on this floor that was completely deserted, 100% silent, and unilluminated. EXCEPT we actually walked out of the elevator and looked around a bit, and the hall down the right had reddish light. so we just went back in the elevator and tried to go to the right floor again aha. I don’t think it was a coincidence. maybe it was because the building was old, but EVERYONE tells me that whenever I have “unusual experiences” with the technology in old establishments. and my mum never likes to discuss it. :3c that’s all!
