"Whoa--! That staff is so cool!"
Dark eyes sparkle with delight as she approaches the boy--more specifically, the staff that he's holding. Laine looks it up and down, scanning over every detail.
"That cardinal is beautifully painted--it looks hand carved? It's so clean! It's got such a nice shine to it, too!"
She's so preoccupied with the staff that she hasn't realized that the boy has pointed ears.
