I have a question for transmen/transmasc people, or just. whoever really knows the answer here

I know top surgery is pretty common for those transitioning, but what if you’re starting with like, A-B cups? Is it still “necessary” to get top surgery, or will T kinda help with shrinking them down to a desired size?? I have a transman OC named Derek, and he tends to bind/use sportsbras since he doesnt have too much to squoosh down. I know it usually depends on the individual, but I’d like to get some opinions if that’s okay ;w; And lmk if something here needs to be worded better!
