Dear Sawyer,

You've got a friend in me; you've got a friend in me.  I'd sing this to you forever if I could, Sawyer because honestly, it's never been more true.  You've given me the greatest gift ever just by being my first best friend in the history of ever.  Before, everyone's always been my friend because they're Carter's friend and, well, Carter was nice enough to share.  

You met me first though and you actually liked me.  You like me for me and you wanted to be my friend and that means so much to me, Sawyer.  I can't even express it.  I feel like myself when I'm around you and every study date, ice cream run, movie night, breaking bad marathon and just hanging out in each other's rooms solidifies that feeling.  I like being me when I'm with you.

I hope you have the merriest of Christmases.  If anyone deserves it, it's you.  My present isn't much but it's the last of my money so I hope you like it anyways.  A flower because you're sort of like a flower--beautiful and lovely and you smell really nice like all the time.  I want to keep you in a vase forever and ever even though that's probably pretty unreasonable and sounds a lot creepier than I mean.  And the bear because it's cute and has a sweater and well, you're my best friend.  You're like family now.  I love you, Sawyer.  I really truly do.  Merry Christmas!
