to tumblr’s trans people: I’m getting my first binder soon but I don’t know what brand to use. Which is your favorite? (I’m looking for something with a lot of compression)

edit: I can’t change the poll, but after some research, it seems that gc2b’s binders are incredibly unsafe. Just want to put this here in case another trans guy is looking at this poll. Underworks seems to be the best option as far as I’ve seen from other people.

I got a new binder yesterday and here is my honest review of the “For Them” binder

before i begin, i would like to mention all of my previous binders have been gc2b and i’ve ordered one from underworks, which i did not like and have worn only a couple times. Anyways, gc2b used to be great, but in recent time, their quality has gone downhill. the last binder i ordered from them was an Extra Small. it arrived and already the threads were loose on the sides and over time, the fabric itself started to rip, it stretched out to what a size small would be within a week. so, i decided to part way with the beloved gc2b company and branch out to “For Them”.

Like I said, I’ve only have the binder for a day but I got to say, its better than any gc2b binder i’ve ever ordered. It binds really well (granted I have a smaller frame and a smaller chest). The fabric is smooth and its, in my opinion, easier to put on and take off. Also, something really cool about these binders, they have a rotatable design! No more high collared shirts!

the “front” is the standard neck you’d see with gc2b, underworks, and spectrum. the “back” is a much deeper “U” shape.

It’s slut season trans-mascs because you can unbutton the top 3 button without seeing the binder!

All in all, this binder (so far) doesn’t have any negatives. Next time i order from them, i’ll have to order a size or two bigger. but i really like this binder.

update on the for them binder situation: they have a good and free albeit slow return and replacement system and I just got my new one today; it is a bit tight on the ribs because it's brand new but otherwise it actually compresses my chest this time, and is still just as soft and easy to put on, plus it's in the color I was hoping for (green!) so I would say if you get this binder A. use the returns if you don't love your first one B. do not expect a flat chest, it just reduces your chest by a few sizes but if you have a small chest it should be good
