You know what, I have to think a lot about the three forbidden techniques. So there is Zhenlong Chess Formation and Rebirth. But what is the third? Have I missed that part, or will it be explained later?

Also we know Mo Ran has mastered the Zhenlong Chess Formation in his previous life. What about Rebirth, didn’t sound as though he did the rebirth into his young body himself? I feel like someone else has mastered this technique and brought Mo Ran back in time. That would, however, mean that this someone else from his previous life has probably also traveled back in time, thinking they will profit from the changes Mo Ran will most likely do. So who can profit from Mo Ran changing things? 

Option one, someone whose power Mo Ran stole? I’m thinking of a higher up figure, we have not yet been introduced or someone who this far seems to be nice and not important. Or it could be the bandit from the clementine story.

Option two, someone close to Mo Ran? We know it cannot be Chu Wanning or Xue Meng, as we hear their thoughts quite often and they don’t seem suspicious enough. So I go with Shi Mei. Don’t know how this would be possible as Shi Mei died, but I can’t picture anyone else close enough to Mo Ran who would profit from Mo Ran going back in time and changing things up. His uncle?
