Ironic and crappy that glip was the one who decided to write about their whole life story in what was supposed to be an apology. back in 2020 they excessively patted themselves on the back for opening up about their history and derailing the apology with it. I remember them claiming it was better this way, it was the right way to do it to honor their feelings, and that pengo was wrong to try and get them to write a strict apology. as if they were smarter than pengo to decide to detail their trauma and make the apology into the glip story time. I remember them claiming that by trying to keep it to an apology glip was cutting their feelings off or some such weirdly phrased thing, saying that pengo was hurting glip by trying to get them to leave out their sob story. They were soooo proud of themselves for that!
And now they’ve turned around and claim that it was pengo who forced them and that pengo was wrong and how he needed to see what would really happen….. it’s so rich lol. And sad. I found it sad as hell to see pengo get slowly warped during his time in fv servers from someone reasonable who had principles they actually stuck to, to someone who was snappy, controlling, conceded everything to glip and kissed their ass, someone who once escaped and then got sucked back into the circus that is fv. In the beginning he probably really hoped that the divorce and time had changed glip into someone who could take responsibility - but that is just never ever gonna happen. Glip will never take actual responsibility for their part, they will always blame someone or something else and evade responsibility. They are allergic to real confrontation and accountability.
Considering pengo never raped any animals and was a victim of marl and glips that spoke out, I have more sympathy for him. I hope he can get away from glip, stays away from such a warped and toxic place, and chases his happiness. I hope he can find it in his heart to apologize to those he hurt. I won’t hold my breath for it but I think it would be a step towards real healing for him.
Considering Pengo is still uploading floraverse art on cohost pretty daily right now, I don't think the status quo will change here. Which is just, sad.
I don't think anyone hurt by Glip will be able to trust him again, but it would be good for everyone (except probably Glip) if he directly apologized to people he hurt like Byrn, Rina and Boo.
