Jess smiled and waved as one of her younger cousins darted inside giggling, she’d been invited to her Grandparents place in Greece and well she’d gone while Volant was at work. She’d been keeping a eye on the time and was planning to send him a ‘i’m safe’ text to make sure he didn’t flip the fuck out, he was her boyfriend sure but he was also her brother so she figured he was allowed.

She got her phone out as she started walking towards her Grandparents place and started writing out the text

‘Heyo bro,

Okay so i’m not at home, hell i’m not even in the fucking country right now. I’m visiting my Grandparents in Greece, probably not the smartest move but i’ve only known them through their letters and two of my cousins that i haven’t met before are here too and THEY ARE SO ADORABLE!! One’s 10 and the other just turned 14. I know since it’s Greece it’s probably not safe with all the monsters around and fuck if i haven’t had some close calls yet but Gypsie came along and she’s keeping watch.

I know you might not want to come along-i don’t know if hanging out with my human family is something you’d enjoy- but if you do, i’ve left the address on a postcard on the kitchen counter and Gyspie should be easy enough to track via shadow travel. If you don’t end up coming along i should be back by America’s Midnight at the latest.

It was not the first time Mei-Rin was sitting right next to her teacher in the church. Actually, it happened pretty often, as if they had their own seats, right next to each other.

That day, though, something was different. When the service was over, he stayed with her, even though he usually left. Mei-Rin simply liked the silence of the church... No wonder, then, that she was surprised to see the whole building was empty but the two of them.

Especially when she felt his hand on her thigh.

“Sir...?” she started hesitantly, not quite sure how she could help him. Of course, he was young and very handsome, but she could not remembering any flirting between the two of them. Besides, was it really the best place...? “Is everything alright?”

Mei-Rin had never wanted to leave in the first place, but there was nothing she could do with it. An order was an order, and that was how she had left Volant fast asleep, placing just one kiss on his forehead before disappearing.

A couple of months had passed since that night. Now, pretending to be a human, she had booked a room in a hotel and when the day came, she appeared there.

She was just unpacking her things when she heard a sound of a key in the lock. With a gasp, she got closer to the door and said, “No! This room is taken! Go away!”

Strange; Volant seemed to be her Master even when they were making love, even though he had told her they would be lovers and not a master and a servant anymore. Not that she minded that, though.

Mei-Rin felt so embarrassed. She hated feeling weak, especially when someone was watching. Hiding her face in her hands, she tried to muffle her sobs.

“I... I’m so sorry, Master,” she whispered. “I just...”

But how could she explain that? She felt so lonely as of late... She had been avoiding him because she felt it was wrong to have an affair with him, and her second thoughts returned. But she realized that she truly loved him... she could not avoid him anymore.
