family-rpc-helper (A RP templates, Icons, Headers and Graphics blog. Still slightly WIP as I need to make a masterpost that has all the fandoms I have up on the blog currently that I can add to. Dash only blog as I didn't want to have to try and fight with a blog template for maximum Pretty.)
For those unaware, tumblr staff has (probably been forced to by shareholders) updated so that each post is it's own post with it's own notes. Threads are still connected and can still be trimmed and reblogged, however each roleplay reply will have it's own set of notes (likes, reblogs, etc.). While it doesn't seem like the RPC will be affected compared to many of the other communities on tumblr, please be aware to check the notes of the previous thread reply to make sure you didn't miss anything, and use the drafting system to bookmark your WIP replies if you haven't already.
(Life really has not been pulling any punches lately. I hope everyone had a lovely new year and christmas and such.
I have the stuff that requires replies tucked away in my drafts but i won't be getting around to them anytime soon.
I apologise for it but my mental is shot has been since early December.
I've been giving myself Janurary to just be and then got gut punched by having to put one of my animals down on Monday. It. . .was expected and was the best thing for him but, the house is far too quiet without him.
Unsure when I will be back but for those that have me on discord, I'm always reachable there.
Moth had shit luck. How could he possibly have been displaced twice? Now he had no idea where he was, he found himself in the middle of a forest and he sighed frustrated. His RIG had no signal to the extranet so he was left stranded until he could get ahold of Cinder. He soon heard the sound of people, it sounded like shouting and with no other choice he headed towards the noise hoping to find answers to where he was.
Coming out the forest he squinted some against the sun and saw a camp, there were cabins and winding paths that spread about. He saw people milling around wearing neon orange shirts that hurt his eyes to look at some, but he would survive. He stood there for a long moment battling with his social anxiety before he spotted someone walking alone and moved forwards, flagging them down, “ Sorry hi, um, really weird question. Where am I? ” He asked the person with an awkward smile.
Moth’s head was hurting, the stress brought a sense of panic that seemed to threaten to drown him from the inside out. Rubbing at his temples he just focused on going through the breathing exercises his Dad had taught him, he would be okay, he wouldn’t be stuck on Earth forever. However one thing he was bothered by was the increase in gravity, gods he forgot how heavy being on Earth felt. Luckily for him his metal bones were a lightweight variant so he wasn’t overwhelmed as much as he could be.
Going so suddenly from one planet to another was off putting to say the least, it had him in silence trying to adjust and adapt back to how he had grown up. Ugh the memories weren’t something he wanted to handle either, so all he could do was try and keep calm and avoid a flare up of Marker poisoning, that was the last thing he needed to have. Soon he focused on the information he could get from the girl, America? Joy, so he wouldn’t have much of a clue what was going on and his British accent was probably going to have him labelled as tourist. Hearing the year though he sighed and rubbed his face.
He muttered a series of curses under his breath and silently hoped this wouldn’t get out of hand, the tech he had in his body and on him was only dreamt of in this time, although being back to his original timeline made him wary. Although it didn’t seem like his universe, gods it was a ball ache. “ Thanks, sorry it’s just… frustrating. ” He apologised before suddenly remembering, “ Oh shit did I even introduce myself? I’m Moth, nice to meet you…? ” He inquired for her name, it should have been where he started.
Jess moved to loosely cross her arms over her chest, head tilting as she just stared at him. Yeah this one was gonna need some care and probably some shade. Silently musing about whether or not to bring him to the Hades cabin as it was a lot darker than most- The Nyx cabin had them beat by miles but it would be full of napping younger campers for another hour and a half- she decided it might not be a bad idea.
As long as he didn't mind of course.
At the curses she snorted, an amused smile tugging at her lips. Yeah. Fair reaction. She had cussed and cursed more than a few times too.
"No I get you, totally understand" She said, nodding before she laughed. Grinning at him now "You didn't but you had more important things to find out babe. Names Jess, lovely to meet you. Would you like to go sit down somewhere a little quieter? Darker maybe? We'll have to go poke at Chiron to find you a place to stay assumin' you don't know who your godly parent is but I'm happy to field that off till you feel up for it."

"Newbie huh?" Were the first words out of her mouth, dark grey eyes flicking over him with a sympathetic smile. She slipped a hand out of her leather jacket's pocket and gestured around them both. The scent of fresh air, grass and lightly hinted sweetness swirling around them both "Camp Half-Blood a place for demigods. Most any kind really as all can stumble through the barrier but it was mostly for the Greek pantheon."
She let that information sink in before her head tilted curiously, gaze snagging on what looked like a part of a fancy backpiece. It looked familiar to her but not quite? she couldn't place it. Could ask but she shoved that thought away, just in case she was remembering it from her medical textbooks. It seemed rude to ask just on the off-chance she was poking a sore wound.
"So stumble through the barrier, magically telelported, used a teleporter or woke up here with no memory?" Those were the most popular ways she'd found most got here. Seemed a good place to start.
Newbie? He didn’t think being displaced was something he was new to, but judging by the fact there was only one sun in the sky? Shit was he back on earth? That was the last place he was wanting to be. His head was beginning to hurt from the bet reds and he just took a few breaths to try and remain calm. He froze. Camp half blood? Like from those books he read as a kid?
He was silent for a long moment trying to wrap his head around his current predicament, this was just his luck. He just hoped everyone back home wasn’t panicking over his disappearance. Snapping to when the other spoke he needed a moment to register what was said to him before he frowned and sighed. “ Try displaced, although it could have been anything you said if it’s that likely. ” He replied.
“ So where exactly is here at… Camp Half blood? Because I came from a uh… very far away place. ” He said before pausing, “ And what year is it? As weird as that sounds. ” He added with an awkward laugh, getting home was going to be a ball ache so for now information was important so he could try and not draw too much attention. Although he wasn’t always the best at that.
The silence was not commented on, she had seen it before far too many times with people who had been shoved at Camp with little to no explanation. It was best to just let them get their bearings first.
"That's rough buddy" the sympathetic smile still in place as a bit of pity entered her eyes. That was always extremely rough. She'd been lucky that magic and gods and the mythical had always been apart of her life so while being grabbed by Nico had been a surprise. It hadn't rattled her like it did some.
The year question is what stumped her. Sympathy turning into confusion then shifting to pure curiousity, another quick look over the person in front of her was done with a more critical eye.
"Long Island, New York, America. Current year is Twenty Twenty Five" She said the year slowly, giving him ample time to absorb the information.
Now he truly had her attention. The last time she'd been involved in time shenangans things had gotten well and truly fucked up. Her guard wasn't up-even if the familiar "brace" had something in her brain jumping up and down that she knew it- but by damn. Curious.
"Jessssss..." There was a slight whine in her voice and large pleading eyes staring at Jess. "I'm bored... Come play with me?" She'd been stuck inside for too long and now, she needed fresh air. "I want to go out on the sea, even borrowed a boat and everything but..." And there was the eyes again. "I don't want to go alone. Please come with?"
@garinna
Jess barely glanced up from her phone, thumb still idlying flicking through whatever she was looking at. Dance shorts probably.
"What will I get out of it?" Seemingly unaffected by the pleading eyes-she was a younger sibling she had a natural immunity- It would require something big to be offered to get the very comfortable demigod to move.
"Just you" The words were simply put and spoken as fact as the grin grew and Jess laughed "I adore Papa, I would never put him through that. Duh~"
With the bit firmly continued in a silly direction, Jess hummed and tapped on her lip. Pretending to mull over the offer she- quite obviously- was going to accept.
"I suppose deal" She said reaching out a hand and grasping the offered one before pulling Ylva over into a big hug, all the while being extremely careful not to actually hurt her friend. She wasn't strong by demigod means but Ylva was human, and at least to Jess abnormally squishy. "Get hugged first idiot"
"Oh of course, you brat." She huffed, crossing her arms in front of her chest, pouting. "I guess it's good you're breaking only ONE heart today..."
She wasn't prepared for the pull, and easily fell into the embrace, and if Jess thought there was a tiny squeak as she did so, then that was likely just her imagination.
Obviously.
Thankfully Ylva had absolutely no such concerns, squeezing her friend happily. It had been too long and time just never seemed to be enough.
Though, there was a very small voice piping up mid hug. "Since you decided to make it transactional, you DO realise I'll be charging like, five cookies for the hug right?"
"Obviously~ You are just one of my best friends. Comes with the territory" The teasing continued even as Jess returned the squeeze, being careful not to squeeze too tightly.
Ylva would be able to feel her relax slightly, she really had missed her a lot. She'd gotten too used to the two of them being able to hang out and get into mischief together, it was weird the time they'd both been too busy to touch base. It felt like years even when she knew it couldn't have actually been that long. Few months at most.
"I'll handmake em and everything" She promised, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"Such a heavy price to pay," she sighs, dramatically over the top as she tended to be. "But if that's how it must be then so be it. Sniffle." She wasn't sniffling, just saying the word sniffle.
"With chocolate chips, you try any raisin ones and I'm not counting it," she said, finally releasing her friend. "So, now that we have haggled out all the payment details, want to head out? I got all the pets waiting by the dock where the boat is."
"Indeed but seeing as how we have known each other so long. You will survive" The comment was paired with a head pat from the demigod as she grinned, laughing softly at the familiar dramatics of one of her closest friends.
Releasing her in turn, Jess rolled her eyes and waved a now free hand about in the air
"Fucking obviously I'm not an animal" Her hatred of raisin cookies should be well documented by this point in time, she hated people who made them and truly thought they were demons on earth sent to punish people with shit cookies. Strong opinion sure but it was hers "Let me get changed into something I don't care about"
Her current outfit of a pair of her heavier jeans and jumper didn't scream 'i can swim in this perfectly fine'
“I feel like I would be far more suited to helping advertise … but I suppose that would work,” crystallin nodded side to side. Granted she wasnt keen on getting a job there - or anywhere- in the first place. She already had a job here.
“But the café is closed right now. So that will be a later problem.”
“I mean hey that could work too, whatever gets you a spot and that sweet employee discount. Chir won’t give a fuck big trust and I’m more than happy to take you to and from, drive or shadows either way” Jess agreed, giving a small hand wave. Just in case that had been in doubt.
There was a ‘oh right’ look on her face at the reminder and she hummed.
“Shows you how much I pay attention. Later problem yeah, pleeeenty of time to plan. Whatever the plan ends up being”
“I’m sure I’ll come up with something,” crystallin agreed, smiling brightly. Realistically Jess had to know the whole plan was bad. But at least with crystallin it would likely be fine … a small chaotic mess for a moment, but no harm would come to the café or owner she seemed to appreciate so much.
"I am sure you will" Jess agreed, keeping the comment that she would likely be called in to fix it to herself. Crystallin seemed so sure of herself and she didn't want to take that from her.
For the moment at least.
Chaos Jess could handle and there was always that in spades around the other.
"So, short term solution i suppose. Are you in need of cash? Genuine question. I've never actually asked how much you do or don't make from Camp"
There was a flustered sputter that came from Jess's mouth and she gently swatted at him, her face burning hot.
"Hush you" She muttered, clearing her throat as if that would do any good- spoiler alert: It would not- before continuing as if her fiancé hadn't just blindsighted her with a compliment "Any creativity I have is simply gathered from the amount of time spent around a brilliant mind such as yourself. So there!"
"Look at us... going around complimenting each other. At least we're honest," he grins. He takes her hand gently pulls her close. He presses a soft kiss to her lips.
"You are amazing and thus make it easy to think of them" She teased, tucking some hair behind her ear.
Letting out a few flustered giggles as she was pulled towards him- giving no resistance because why would she?- she curled her hands lightly in his shirt as she kissed him back. Letting out a pleased hum against him, any previous thoughts completely gone from her head. Just like that.
"I do" the words were soft and filled with nothing but warmth and affection as she smiled at him, basically making heart eyes at the man in front of her as her face grew warmer. Jess would likely never grow used to compliments, much less from her beloved. "I love you too and you are just as amazing"
She knew they could both go on and on about each other, she certainly could gush about him for hours upon end but this felt nice.
Even if she wanted to bury her face into his chest and just giggle like a school girl.

The moment that head hit her lap, everything around her froze.
Grace would argue she could handle anything.
She'd run from a building as it exploded around her, hand in hand with the man who set the explosives, she'd been out in the open sea as it raged and howled around her, waves crashing against the small boat as a god hovered over her. Rage on his features.
She has survived losing her closest confidant only to gain him back, twisted, different yet apparently exactly the same.
No doubt there was so so much she was forgetting but the point remained.
She was strong, fearless.
Terrifying in her own right. And yet.
Staring at the little girl whose head rested in her lap, her small chest rising and falling with each breath. . .she felt pure terror.
Not wanting to move an inch less she wake her, disturb her rest. Here was something so defenceless trusting her- her blood covered hands- to keep her safe while she slept.
There was an amused snicker behind her on the couch and she gave a quick glance, wide eyed at the woman standing there.
“She won't bite you know” A voice softer than her own reached her ears, light and clearly amused at the emotions obvious on Grace's face
“She's so small” her own voice in comparison was barely a whisper, flicking back down to the girl and back again “Why in the world?”
“She likes you” Jess said simply, moving to lean against the back of the couch and reaching down, she brushed some hair from her cousin's face, tucking it behind her ear. Smiling soft at the contented sigh that escaped the girl at the motion. “You made quite the impression with your Hunter stories”
“That's all?” Incredulous, Grace shot her a look and Jess simply shrugged in return
“You forget how easily delighted children are” she replied before pointing at Mia “Large family young children adore adults that truly pay attention to them. Mia especially, she tends to cling once she likes you”
'Ask me how I know' hung unsaid in the air.
Jess was Mia's favourite older cousin and the two often hung around one another at family parties and gatherings when Mia's father couldn't make it. Jess easily matching the quieter girl's energy and guiding her through conversations with older relatives, laying the groundwork for being able to vanish out of that annoying uncle's verbal grasp and make it think it was his idea or slipping away when their gaggle of older cousins cooed about future partners without being noticed.
Things Jess wished someone had taught her to navigate at Mia's age.
Grace had been invited along upon Amelia's insistence. The Deepspace Hunter having rescued her a few months back, it had started an smooth friendship and really, being able to invite people along to these things sort of came with the territory of marrying into it.
Amelia and Scott had vanished the moment they'd all arrived and Jess had taken pity on the poor stranger and pulled her in to hang out with her and the younger kids. Who had been enraptured by all her stories of heroics and assignments.
Mia especially who had dreamed of being a Knight since she was old enough to walk and was dismayed to realise it wasn't a career the modern world needed.
The idea she could try to become a Deepspace Hunter, someone who protected against monsters, had clearly struck a chord.
She'd asked for story after story after story, wide bright pleading eyes and clasped hands following each. Grace had given in, she had no defences for children.
When Grace had vanished off inside for a moment to rest, Mia had followed. Which is how they found themselves here.
Grace terrified.
Mia asleep
Jess endlessly amused.
“I can carry her upstairs?” the offer was met with quick head shakes and Jess snorted.
“I don't want to wake her”
“She sleeps pretty heavily, her dad snores like a pig”
“Still”
Jess just shrugged and Grace turned her attention back down to Mia, who true to her word, hadn't stirred once as they'd spoken.
The two women just existed there, the only sound was Mia's quiet breathing. In and out, in and out. Rise of the chest, fall of the chest, once, twice, then again.
Grace tried to imagine herself in Mia's shoes. A young girl, trusting of strangers, curious enough about stories and hungry enough to know more to want to follow them into rooms and settle. Trusting them to keep her safe.
The only two people she ever felt safe with growing up had been Caleb and her Gran. Everyone else? Not so much.
Zayne -she supposed- would have been the exception but then again he also just. . .left. As a child that had hurt. As an adult, it was water under the bridge. She'd fought against his want to keep distance and planned to keep chipping away at his resistance until they were as close as they were as children.
She was stubborn like that.
Or determined she supposed. Both?
Perhaps both.
Snapping back into the moment, she froze up again as Mia stretched, mumbling something quietly in a language she didn't recognise before settling back down. The piece of hair Jess had secured behind an ear falling back over her face.
“χαζά“ Jess laughed quietly, shoulders barely shaking and Grace shot her a look “Stupid”
“What?” Grace slow blinked at her and Jess raised an eyebrow before seemingly remembering something, understanding flooding her face.
“It's what I said. Stupid” Jess clarified, nodding at Mia “She was mumbling dreaming nonsense, it was stupid funny stuff.”
“In. . .what?”
“Greek”
“Oh” the word was less spoken more breathed out, that's why she hadn't known. She had never heard Greek spoken before. “That makes sense”
“Mmhmm” Jess hummed, giving a glance over her shoulder back outside into the backyard before she straightened up and stretched “Alright well. Unless you want to wake her, you are gonna be here for a bit. She had a rough night last night. Better get settled in”
The last part was said as a tease, Jess's tone light and teasing again.
“Guess I'm here then” Grace said, looking back at Mia. Head tilted slightly. Her heart rate had slowed by this point and she felt like she could at least breathe. It was slow progress.
“Give me a shout if you need anything. I'll grab you a snack” Jess promised before vanishing off, not waiting for a reply.
“Sure thanks” Grace muttered to a now quiet room, sighing softly. Her eyes traced Mia's gentle features, light blonde hair, round cheeks, small nose. Still growing.
It was a nice reminder of another reason why she did what she did. Fighting Wanderers, getting rid of threats to Humanity at large.
Children deserved to grow up in a world that was kind to them, safe.
Her hand unclenched and slowly moved from her side, mirroring Jess's move from earlier, she lightly brushed that stubborn strand back behind Mia's ear. A soft smile gracing her face.
