Fangs For the Pep Talk (Forbittenfruiit)
It had been a “right place, right time” kind of moment for Nakidori Amaya.
She had just stopped by this amazing apple orchard to get some pictures when she saw that thing running into the trees. Some kind of a humanoid rodent, and it was gleefully talking about spreading illness on a grand scale.
That wasn’t something she was going to let happen, especially not in a place this beautiful. Temporarily ignoring the signs, Amaya had vaulted over one section of fence and ran up behind the creature.
“I’m not going to let you poison these apples, monster.” She said to get its attention.
“Oh yeah? Are you going to stop me, girl? How?” The nutria named Batetemoda turned, and watched in a combination of shock and awe as the girl’s body transformed into stained glass.
“Like this, you vermin!” She raised a hand and a pair of glittering, translucent fangs appeared in the air above the nutria, and slammed down into the veins on his neck, sapping his life force.
She didn’t want that evil inside her, so instead she vented it off into the air, away from the trees. After ten seconds of contact, the nutria reached up and snapped the fangs with its claws, and vanished into a portal.
Amaya let her natural form fade back to human and turned around, satisfied that she had chased off that creature, only to find herself staring up at an older, very handsome man.
“Um...how much of that did you see?” That’s her first question, not “Is this your orchard?”
