❝must you go so soon?❞ padme looked at her husband, as she lay in his arms. he had just gotten back, and in 3 days he would be gone again. he was a jedi after all, and the clone wars were.. well they had no sign of stopping. the senator was definitely feeling selfish, but how could she not? she barely saw him, and they couldn't exactly be open. ❝i don't mean to make you feel bad, i just love and miss you❞

She was happy.  After ( countless ) near death experiences for solely being a senator, a high name figure in the Senate, after hiding in the safety of her home planet, she was happy.  Because her home planet brought her peace, brought her security, and it brought her him.  Had he not be assigned to protect her, had they not have had to reside in the safety of the fields of the planet at all, she may never would have fallen in love with him.  She may never would have learned more about him, about the man he’d grown to be - about the Jedi he’d become.  She was happy, and she was thrilled, that though kept secret, this was their life.  

A joyous laugh passed Padmé’s lips, the fullest of smiles spreading across her face as she looked over toward him.  “You really know how to make someone smile with all the joy in the world,” she mused as she threw another smile in his direction.  She walked toward him, now that they were alone.  Free to be as they were, free of eyes that would result in either the demise of their marriage or their jobs.  Gentle hands rose to rest against his cheeks, and her smile softened.  “I’ve missed you, Ani.”

“What do you think they’re going to be like?” With her hands resting on her belly, there was a smile on Padme’s face even before she looked up at Anakin, hoping he would get her drift and realize that she was talking about twins.

“One of the med bots says the little girl is more feisty.”

Chocolate hues widen, feeling like their nearly popping out of it’s sockets. Breath caught in his throat as he just stares at the other. Of course he’d heard all the stories. Even in the First Order, you knew all about them. Despite that, he always just assumed they were all just myths. Yet here he was standing before his eyes and he was only filled with disbelief as his body stood frozen in front of the other.

“Y-You’re real? I thought you were just a myth...”

obi-wan is totally the cool uncle who uses the force to lift the tiny smol babies bc pst who needs arms

     he carries both the babies using the force because they are his now he isn’t gonna have kids so dammit let him have a few happy moments. padme and anakin can have them back in a few hours when they start crying because obi-wan couldn’t handle two crying babies
