It brought them so much happiness to serve their purpose. Strawberry was enthusiastic to provide a nice, filling meal to anyone that needed it. Their slime body was concocted with the ability to provide needed nutrients and they were their creator's favorite flavor. Since their creator was extremely bad at remembering to stop their work and eat, Strawberry had been the solution.
All Strawberry had known was satisfying their friendly scientist's hungry belly for a while. But when a new person showed up to the lab, their tummy softly complaining of emptiness... Strawberry had a strong urge to help this poor new person. So they did- with a happy chirp, they pried the person's mouth open to slip inside.
Strawberry had never experienced resistance and didn't really know why this person was wriggling so much. Maybe they had never eaten before or something? Poor friend... The slime purred and patted their head, pushing themselves down their throat with gentle, surging movements. Strawberry would make sure that this person got the same caring treatment that their creator received, quickly making their way down to their hungry tum.
They finally made their way inside, slipping into the warm, dark, and tiny space that they were so familiar with. But... It wasn't the same as their creator's stomach. It was... Rather than soft and snug, the walls were stretched and trembling, apparently unused to such a large meal. The sounds were different, too; instead of the contented burbling they were used to, this tummy complained and whined loudly.
It was familiar... yet so new. Strawberry heard their new friend outside groaning, holding their full tummy with them inside. A hiccup shook their container, followed by another groan. This poor person... Strawberry pressed their hands to the slick lining of the belly around them, massaging gently to try and soothe the discomfort they had. Probably was too hungry for too long, Strawberry felt bad for them if they had to ignore their tummy like their creator did.
A low sound rumbled around them, a strained burp issued from above. But the tummy walls around the slime seemed to relax even though another hiccup shook them with a slosh. It was in that moment that Strawberry felt their inner call. As much as they loved and enjoyed spending time with their scientist creator... They had to go out into the world. If bellies could be so different with each person, and if so many people were bad at getting their nutrition... Then Strawberry was determined to help as many hungry people as they could to find their perfect tummy fit!
Strawberry departed into the world after one last meal with their creator, being sure to leave a sample of themself behind so that they could make another Strawberry. The pink slime was so excited to see the world, so happy to find and help as many as they could! And it wasn't long before they found plenty of others that needed their help- in fact, it was hard to pick just one! There were so many people, so many that were aching for food that Strawberry just wanted to help them all!
The slime had a field day with the people of the town over the next few days, choosing those that seemed the most in need for nutrients. It was usually those that would ignore their soft growling of their stomachs until it became a roar, loudly announcing their emptiness. They felt so bad for those with such loud and complaining bellies that they had to help them, no matter what they were doing at the time. Most of their new friends would squirm and wriggle, but Strawberry was getting experienced in helping these poor hungry people to eat. And it was such fun to observe each tummy for themself- it was like they were a scientist like their creator!
Some bellies were warmer than others. Some were more active, squishing and sticking snug to the slime's soft form. Some were more determined to squeeze and churn. And every single one sounded different- gurgles, glorps, whines, groans, slurp-glurp-burble... Strawberry was fascinated by all the loud and soft sounds each belly could make, often rubbing the stomach walls around them to make more sounds.
Sometimes they would come across a person that actually asked for a meal- in that way they eyed the pink slime with drool at the corner of their mouths, the hungry rumble of their belly, and Strawberry always came close to let themself be picked up. It was always great when someone recognized that they were only trying to help and to have someone swallowing was always easier on the slime. They would still help, but it was so much easier to get down to their destination when the person helped~
Strawberry took rests inside of every tummy they could find the time to, giving off their nutrients and eventually taking their leave. Leaving was sometimes a little harder; apparently some of their new friends were either not used to it or just didn't want Strawberry to leave. But then they wouldn't be able to see more bellies, so they couldn't stay. Sometimes the slime would find a tummy they really liked and wanted to stay for a while, so they curled up for a nice, long rest with their new friend. It was just a wonderful feeling to provide a filling meal and help all of their nice, new friends.
Sometimes they missed their creator and thought about going to visit... But they always got distracted by another friendly person that needed to eat. It was probably for the best- their scientist had probably made another Strawberry(or perhaps another flavor).
Truly, their purpose in life kept them busy, but they wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. They held so much joy from being able to help others with their hunger that they could hardly think of little else. It just made them so happy to be so wanted and so helpful.
