For the Bat Questions: 2, 9, 13 and 20 💙
Thanks for the ask, aaah! 2. If you could see the show with any combination of past cast, what would your cast be? (cast you’ve seen, cast you haven’t, a mix, or one of each, go wild) Hmmmm, I’m making one up because 👀 Strat: Ben Purkiss (or Ruben Van Keer, I do love Ruben) Raven: Em Schultheis Sloane: Lena Hall Falco: Bradley Dean Ledoux: Will Branner Tink: Alex Thomas-Smith Zahara: Danielle Steers Jagwire: Dom Hartley-Harris, I really like his voice Blake: Patrick Sullivan 9. If you wanted to convince someone to see the show, what ONE thing would you tell them? Mostly I tell them that it’s exciting, and has good music, and is a really interesting world to think about, but if I had to tell them one thing, I’d say, “it’s rock-n-roll Peter Pan and they’re all immortal.” 13. Favourite costume in the show? As a whole, I really love the Valkyrie costume, but I’m incredibly partial to Tink’s disastrous shoe setup. Mesh socks! Tiny little neon wings! What are you doing! 20. One of your favourite performers from the show, and why? One? Hm, don’t like that. I really love Simon Gordon? He just seems like an all-around decent guy, and his performance as Strat is so vibrant and full of the sort of life I’d expect in a guy that’s managed to be the leader of that disastrous group of humans. Also, fun hair.
I want you to know I've just been hit with a wave of missing your absurdly funny bat out of hell takes
Okay so I got this and I thought maybe I should come up with some random bullshit takes because I haven't done that in ages
Anyway this is what I came up with
Ledoux doing the dagger soliloquy from Macbeth but with a balloon sword
Strat bulk ordering his shirts
I have an incredible mental image of all of the lost sliding down a hill on that mattress at once
The lost breaking into Falco tower to slightly rearrange the furniture in falcos study
Ledoux's balloon sword was made by Scherzzo
The lost have an annual bet on who can steal more of strats shirts
Please feel free to add your own astoundingly bad takes onto this

2. If you could see the show with any combination of past cast, what would your cast be? (cast you’ve seen, cast you haven’t, a mix, or one of each, go wild)
This is a tricky one, just going to do what I think would be a neat combo: Strat: Simon Gordon Raven: Emily Schultheis Sloane: Lena Hall Falco: Bradley Dean Ledoux: Will Branner Blake: Patrick Sullivan Jagwire: Benet Monteiro Zahara: Danielle Steers Tink: Aran MacRae
7. Random headcanon about the show or characters that you like?
I really like a magical realism take on some of the events of the show. So, for example, when Falco goes into the pool at the end of the show and comes out changed, it’s not just that he’s had a personality shift, what comes out is a parallel universe version of him that never got corrupted by power, the ‘beautiful reflection that came first’. Meanwhile the version we know just straight up dies. Why? Because he made a deal with Tink, who has a metafictional connection to being a literal fairy. And everyone knows you don’t break a deal with the fae. 9. If you wanted to convince someone to see the show, what ONE thing would you tell them?
It’s a post apocalyptic rock and roll queer as hell Peter Pan love story. (Does that count as one thing?) 19. Performer from the show you have a crush on
It’d be easier to narrow it down to those I don’t have a crush on, but Emily Benjamin and Will Branner are probably at the top of the list.
If you could change one thing about Bat what would you change?
Strat wouldn’t leave Raven. Yes, it gets rid of the last bit of plot, but the depressive spiral he sent Raven into hurt and it’d be awesome to see how their relationship would progress if she was there to help him through the grieving process.

@forcryingoutbat replied to your post “I'm really sad I don't have any blood confetti and I know that this is...”
It probably wouldn't be from the show you went to (unless we went to the same one, which would be a weird confidence) but I can send you blood by post. Which sounds weird
I feel like the chances are quite slim
However, on the off-chance that you were at the 29th December 2018 matinee performance hi! we were at the same show
I feel like the concept of sending blood by post sounds a bit weird, but also has slight Strat energy just on the grounds of how unexpected it is
grappler-douche replied to your post “I found out about “chilly Coney island wind” yesterday, and I’m still...”
i was there when it happened! literally everyone in the audience looked round at each other like WHAT? when we heard it! then they changed it back like. the next day lmao
Yeah.
I just listened to it and
I mean it was certainly an interesting choice. Definitely not a good one, but it sure was a choice
@forcryingoutbat you’re right. That was so much worse than anything I could possibly have imagined! And this decision presumably went through a number of people, clearly none of whom stopped and actually thought about it!
I mean. It sure was a choice
