In a highly anticipated and long overdue move, Toronto mayor Rob Ford finally admitted to smoking crack cocaine. The confession only came after months of investigative journalism, police tracking, and detective work that was all in efforts to uncover the rest of the iceberg that the infamous crack smoking video was the tip of. We'll be keeping an eye out for the rest of the story.
Amongst other things, yesterday's election heralded a new pothead sanctuary in the way of Portland, Maine, as the state's largest city became the first East Coast town to legalize the plant's recreational use. Some Colorado folk want to secede, while Ohio wants to frack and New York wants add casinos, amongst other things
Progressive ride-sharing app companies like Uber and Lyft are beginning to take fire from officials in cities such as Los Angeles, and now just 2 weeks after Lyft's launch in Baltimore, they are being threatened as well.
Video rental service and 90's high school kid hot spot Blockbuster has officially ordered the closing of all it's last remaining retail outlets.
