Forecasting technologies of the future

Building upon a conceptual vision of the future, the Reimagined Landscapes team were given free reign to go wild and conceptualize what they felt could exist in a future revitalized environment. This process has allowed various forms of creativity to shine out from the large pool of unique talent we have on our team.

During our brainstorming, we further delved from an external to an internal level, asking questions such as: What would the internal structure of our current design idea, the Cooper Rail shop look like in the year 2050 after it has been modernized? Also, keeping in mind of the conscious decision all members of the team have made to preserve the historic significance of the site. What kind of futuristic machinery would be in place of the large winches, cables or engine harnesses that once stood in their place? What kind of energy saving refractive lighting system could be in place? Playing off Prof. Coleman's video on a Dominos Pizza drone delivery system, our team member, Yifei also recommended a cloud drone system that would be built into the roofing system of any building and controlled directly by a central AI system. The CAIS (based on SMART building design) could monitor the building's temperature, security, drone, vegetation and electrical systems without the aid of a maintenance worker or security guard.

Ideas such as Yifei's are plentiful in a group of innovative thinkers who are also delving into both entrepreneurship and research and development facets. These and many cutting-edge technologies are currently on our drawing board and being implemented into a final concept design of a revitalized Cooper Site. This in turn sets the stage for other buildings like the Cooper site, which are currently in dire need of both brick and mortar and technological rehabilitation, to shed their eye sore title and transition into community enabled buildings of the future!
