FORELSKET (🇩🇰/🇳🇴)

This is a Danish and Norwegian word which refers at time when you’re starting to fall in love. The word Folesket is the indescribable euphoria you feel when you’re falling in love. The famous butterflies in the stomach, the feeling of revving, the head in the clouds, the heart beating wildly. This word is translated through several phrases into our language, but never with a single and unique vocabulary.

They thought in Norway and in Denmark to give you a complete definition, contained in a noun.

When we fall in love with someone and lower the defensive barriers that we usually hold high to protect ourselves from the judgment of others. When we fall in love and show ourselves for who we are, with strengths and weaknesses, potential and limitations, without masks. The more we are prepared to express our sincere feelings, the more chance we have of being overwhelmed by the feeling of Forelsket. The emotions that remain unexpressed, in fact, in the long run lead to the corrosion of relationships. A relationship in which the parts do not expose themselves with authenticity, is usually destined to be consumed over time.
