Theres something about Josiah Queen.
Like yeah, i know there's a million of Christian singers out there, but something about his music just hits different?
Take Forest Frank for example. He's a good singer, his songs like "GOOD DAY" and "UP!" Are great, but they dont give me the same feeling as the song "Holy Spirit" by Francesca Battistelli.
Josiah Queen on the other hand i feel like puts more heart into his songs, like "I am Barabbas" , "Two Wooden Beams" , "Cloud And Fire"
The song, I am Barabbas, has a lot of emotions and feelings put into it. When he sings "Thirty-nine of all them lashes should have been on my own skin" you really think about how much time he spends just thinking on how we as sinners should have been in Jesus' place.
Josiah's new song "Judas" is even better than his recent song "demons"
Josiah is seeing himself as Judas, (one of Jesus' disciples) Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, while we betrayed Jesus for free. Josiah is constantly singing about being people of wrong in the Bible. Maybe thats why it has more of a emotional impact on me than Forest Frank...?
You can tell how much thought and effort went into his songs. Now im not saying Forest Frank has horrible trashy music, im just saying I think i prefer Josiah over Forest Frank.
