Celtic ghosts: the Sluagh

"Oh, to be caught by the Sluagh in the middle of this forest! I'll always remember it... the mist, the mist, and their laugh echoing there, and then this clawed, cold hand grabbing me! I cannot remember what happened then... I woke up somewhere, so far away, wandering like a crazy man in the icy silence..."

Sluagh are creatures from Irish and Scottish folklore. Wandering souls, they're described in various manners: webbed feet, clawed, livid, sometimes winged...

As they wander through the forest, they may encounter some human, and will probably find it funny to grab them and carry them through the air, sometimes far, far away from the place they meet... They are also said to have aerial fights against other groups of Sluagh.

I didn't look for any pictures of Sluagh before I drew this. There are a lot of different depictions and I wanted to make my own. It may be different from "traditional" depictions.
