An update in case any of you were wondering
I finally finished my undergraduate honors project on the work I did with Crested Auklets in the Aleutians last year and I'm going to be doing more seabird field work this summer with Atlantic Puffins for a Masters project. I have had so many great opportunities since I decided to go back to school and I can't stress enough that it is never to late to do the things you dream of doing.
OK, so I said I’d tell you all about my summer and post some pictures and whatnot, so I decided to put it all on a blog. Cause blog.

Hello Tumblr! I am back from my amazing summer in the Aleutian Islands working with some pretty wonderful (and ridiculous) little birds in a place that I know I’m going to be heartsick for for the rest of my life. It was definitely a life-changing affair and I think set the direction for my future. I can’t wait to show you all some of the pictures I took! I have a new laptop on the way so as soon as it gets here I’ll show you all what I got up to this summer and where I did it. Thanks to those of you who have stayed with me while I was away. I really appreciate every last one of you, and hope you don’t mind any changes this blog might go through in the next few months. For now, let the reblogging continue!
Hiatus
Hello Followers! I am putting my blog on hiatus while I am off studying crested auklets (possibly the world most ridiculous seabird) on Gareloi Island in the Aleutians, where there will be no internet (or electricity, or running water...) Stay tuned: I’ll be back in August with lots of photos from my trip!
Keeping warm memories of my mom in mind today, while trying not to dwell on any of the bad stuff that goes with it.
Every year exams make me question my decision to return to university. Feel so stressed out anxious sick and unmotivated.
