I'm sorry if that what it sounds like to you, and I really don't want to go into details over my personal experience with victim blaming, so I'm just going to go. I want to apologize for taking your time and if I bothered you, I really didn't mean to, I just wanted to show you a bit of my perspective. I hope the hate stops in the Elementary tags.

I'm sure you are a good person, mostly because you haven't said anything disrespectful to me and we've already had multiple exchanges. The reason why the people posting the hate didn't respond well was because you said you tore them apart. You shouldn't push back, but talk to them and hear what's really bugging them and let them know what's bothering you and try to level everything to a point where everyone's satisfied. And if that doesn't work you try again, then if not again, you can block! :)

It's not reasonable to ask someone else to stop tagging their hate if you won't do it yourself, that's just hypocrisy. That 'gasoline' might feel justified but it just makes things worse. Maybe I'm asking too much from some guy I don't know, but being an all around good person means you need to be reasonable person behind a computer monitor, too. If you want to make a change start it yourself. I'd be more than happy to help the cause, too.

But that's part of the problem. If you keep tagging the hate it makes others keep tagging their hate in order to retaliate. It's a vicious cycle that everyone needs to stop taking a part of independently before it stops. You can't wait for someone else because the have the same idea stuck in their head. And it really isn't the majority of the Sherlock fandom making rude comments, its a select few who make a fuss. The majority don't care and therefor their voices aren't heard.

Not everyone who likes Sherlock hates Elementary and not everyone who likes Elementary hates Sherlock. Those are stereotype which just make everyone look stupid. I know you're probably upset by people being rude in the Elementary tag and I'm sorry that they were. There's a lot of idiots out there but they don't represent all of us. And the hate isn't getting anyone anywhere, it just makes an uncomfortable fan environment which no one wants. Opinions are fine, but don't tag the hate.
